The restaurant has a few diners when we arrived around 1300. We did wait about 5 minutes or so at the counter before we were acknowledged. When we were, we ordered and the kind, personable and hard working gentleman informed us he is running the entire place alone. Talk about work ethic. We understand having a hard time getting anyone to work. We sat down, he took our order. We got two shrimp poboys and fried pickle spears. To be up front, I have never had a poboy before, so this was my first. Also, I have searched high and low for fried pickle spears to no avail until that day. Usually they come as fried chips. If you have never had a fried pickle spread I urge you to come and try. They are a different level of amazing. The poboy was good, I just don't think they are for me. I like more veggies on my sandwiches. Call me a rabbit if you wish lol. The food came out fast! He did have to delay the pickles as the other customers had tied up the other fryers, no fault of his. I asked him to wrap them to go and enjoyed them later that night in my air fryer. Overall, the service was fantastic as he was alone, the food was tasty just not for me. My fiance loved hers. We will be back and in going to try something else!!
Anything over 2 stars at this place is either a "payed for" review or someone who has never had good cajun food! Had the seafood gumbo- imagine a rue that tastes like water and a bowl of it heated up to luke warm in the microwave. Imagine no more! They serve it here. The shrimp etouffee was bland and cooked in the microwave. I mean dang, if you gonna cook it in the microwave, at least close the door to the kitchen. Chef Ramsey please help dis place owt!
2 locations, I ate at the Whittleesey location on 02/02/2022. It was awesome. I just don't have one near where I live 45 miles Northeast of Atlanta, Ga. Music, Atmosphere, service were excellent along with the food!
Good tasting food. Small place if you want to dine in.
Always great food! The snow crab boil is the best I’ve had! And the staff is so friendly.
I decided to visit based on the reviews, didnt realize they were for Whittlesey location. The catfish was good. My son ordered snow crab boiled he said it was ok. However, He has been suffering from diarrhea ever since. I'm worried he may have food poisoned . Must be careful these days especially with the Juicy Seafood incident ???
Headed to Fresh Market and wanting a quick lunch, we noticed Camileaux’s while driving through the parking lot. It would be easy to miss, but I’m glad we didn’t. My cup of gumbo and my cup of red beans and rice were both yummy! Plenty of sausage and chicken in the gumbo and a nice bit of smoky flavor, too. The cup size serving proved to be almost more than I needed with two dishes. My side order of French bread was just right for dipping in the gumbo. The people running this cute Cajun restaurant were just as friendly and congenial as could be. Get this! We ordered beignets, and they waited until we finished eating our meal to cook them and bring them out. Talk about fresh! If I lived in Columbus, I’d be a regular customer for sure.
We had the seafood gumbo, chicken/sausage gumbo, jambalaya, fried fish, and beignets. Gumbos were tasty although they did not taste like they were made with an authentic roux. The jambalaya was tasty. The beignets were very good. Prices are very reasonable. Service was super friendly and prompt.
