We were finally able to sit since it is a very popular place. The food is very good and not expensive. They also have a full bar with TVs that you can sit at. Seating is available outside as well. They served us promptly and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The bathrooms were very clean. I had the chicken tacos and it was delicious, my daughter had the fish tacos wit Talapia and scallops. Great service, great food, great background music. I definitely recommend Agave Bar & Grill!!!
Chips seemed warmed up and not fresh although the waiter said everything was made fresh. They gave us a salsa bowl that was extremely small and there wasn’t much flavor in that as well. The flavor was lacking completely in my dish and my wife’s dish. I can definitely say I’ve had better Mexican food at quite a few places in just Columbus. The margarita I ordered was ok but I wasn’t really impressed with anything we tried. Definitely not worth the prices.
This was my first time trying Agave, I made a to-go order that totaled $70. I was told it would take 15-20 minutes. I waited for an HOUR and my entire order was incomplete. I brought the food back because we could’nt eat it, it was missing everything. I was told I could’nt have a full refund and they would not remake the entire order she wanted me to eat day old food and give me fresh sides. This is ridiculous . I will never eat here again. The persons name was Cynthia . She was very unhelpful and even had an attitude when i let her know the number posted on Apple Maps is incorrect
I go here about once a week! I am going to try just about everything on the menu! It is always phenomenal and I have always gotten good service! Large food portions and I love their chips and salsa (it’s made from scratch) Very friendly and helpful waitress and waiter staff! Their menu is so big it’s hard to pick because it all sounds good! They have healthy options along with real authentic Mexican food. Every one that left a bad review, reviewed them when they literally just opened up. I’ve heard their drinks are really good as well I’ve always gone on my lunch break so I haven’t tried them yet! I enjoy the atmosphere and vibe of this place and they designed it so cool! Definitely my favorite
So I have been to the place 2 times in the last month. You’re going to be spending a little bit more, so don’t think this is your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Food delicious, I had the Del Mar chimichanga and the next time the agave chimichanga. Both visits all of my friends also agreed the food is delicious. The only downfall of this place is the service. Bartenders are great, friendly and quick with drinks. Haven’t had to deal with the hostess’s before. I have gotten the same server the 2 times I have been there. He always wears a fancy pants button down, if you’ve been there before you know who he is, he also works upstairs. BOTH times I have been he’s been terrible, everything takes too long and he’s not attentive at all. My party of 5 was sat down and he didn’t come over till 15 minutes to just ask us for what we wanted to drink. A real sign your table isn’t happy with you is when you order your drinks, alcoholic beverages and MEAL order at once. He didn’t even come over before this and say hey guys I’m super busy I’ll be over soon, no acknowledgement, nothing. The only reason why we had chips/salsa on our table was because another waitress brought it to us but by the time he came to get our entire order it was gone and guess what, he didn’t once refill them or ask, we had to tell him hey can we please get some more? Once he eventually brings you your drinks which are probably room temperature by the time they get to you, you don’t even want them. He’ll visit you very little, so don’t expect to refill your chips/salsa or drink till your food gets out. One time both my friends got their margaritas and then I had to tell him 2 times I just wanted my corona. He just shouldn’t be a server IMO. He couldn’t handle our table of 5 and a table of 8 at once with no additional tables. Then when you get ready to ask for the check, he asks you what you ordered, and then still proceeds to mix and match my buddies and I checks up and had to wait another 20 minutes for him to fix it. I really wanted to give him another chance this second time but it was the same experience as before. The first time i had him i was with a party of 10 so i gave him the benefit of the doubt and the restaurant was visibly busy but this time with the party of 5, the upstairs was very slow, to me it just shows a pattern of incompetence. Maybe he needs to work in the back of the house or as a bartender but not as a server. Really ruins the whole experience. Best bit of advice I have is not to go upstairs and have him as your server, you’ll enjoy the food and drinks.
Good food, great drinks, a little pricey, service was good but slow, no fault of the server she just had no help. There are 2 floors and she seemed to be taking care of the second floor by herself and it was very busyNot an empty seat in the place.
My wife and I where there on the 13th. Of April for lunch. The service was above average. Speedy service, friendly atmosphere and the staff (Jennifer) was very knowledgeable of the menu items. Great service from her. We will be back.

Delicious food (standard American Tex-Mex), the venue is great-open onto the street. Good music choices. The cocktails are fantastic and I am not much of a cocktail person. At the time of this writing, the Espresso Martini is highly recommended.
Waited 15 minutes, had to ask two people, to finally get one…to take our drink orders. Then got them 10 minutes later. Everyone else around us is eating and been served. It shouldn’t be taking this long. However, it’s clean and the place looks nice. Great for photos. Food was alright. You can get better elsewhere at a better time. I wouldn’t advise coming if you’re really hungry and wanting to eat quick.
