I was excited about visiting Virgil's in College Park. The food was mediocre and quite pricy. probably my last visit.
My first experience and it was great. I found the waitress knowledgeable of their menu and very pleasant. All our food was hot and delicious. Have no complaints. However, that bread pudding there should be a law against it for be so dam delicious!I made my other two friends help me eat it ?!
The vibe is on point. DJ was mixing some of the best jams for a brunch. A little loud for a small spot but cool. If it was on the menu we ordered it. The patron shots had water in them and my yellow Boi drink was water down not a lick of liquor. I know liquor i didnt get a buzz at all. I had chicken and sweet potato waffles. You could see the spices in the waffles pretty darn good. The chicken was well seasoned but I had a couple of pieces full of hair turned me off. The greens were okay I added hot sauce. The corn muffins were tasty with the greens. My sister had the lobster bowl it looked really good. The grits from it were good. A friend had the poke chops she ate ever bite including the grits and eggs. The salmon patties looked yummy. Our waiter was patient and friendly. We had a table of 15 for my sisters birthday. The spot is small either come super early or super late I think. Cute set up though. Try them out it's a vibe!
This place was definitely a VIBE ! The food was good ! The DJ was amazing ! It was great to be around US ?
We got here an hour ago and it took 20 minutes to get menus and water. I finally went in to ask for menus. Waitress (unfriendly) finally came and we ordered drinks and food. A different guy came out with appetizers for someone else as well as ours...confusion ensued. She delivered some fish, but the wrong side for my husband and said she was bringing my food but it still hasn't come and he is almost done eating. So I am writing this as I wait...and wait...and wait. I appreciate they are busy but the service is inattentive and disorganized. Food is pretty good and I loved this place last time I came so this is a bummer.
My server DeShawn was so kind and attentive. Very professional and my food delicious. Good food great experience!!
Not familiar with gullah food so have nothing to compare it to. Good service. Nice drinks. Food was good but not great.

First off the customer service is A1. The shrimp n grits are pure southern greatness. Amber is the best! This restaurant stays packed and they still deliver awesome service and delicious food. I will always make a point to come here whenever I’m in da A.
Decided to eat here as it wasn't crowded and they allowed inside dining. Never ate inside before always take-out. Food was excellent and the service was great. Got the fried pork chop, crab rice, sauteed spinach, mac and cheese and the fried salmon. A side order of the honey muffins to round it out. You will enjoy the food. Music was a little loud but not too overbearing. Nice location and good food.
