This black owned business deserves 10's across the board. The food, drinks and the customer service was great. My waitress Tee had a beautiful personality, was attentive and extremely well mannered. Her southern accent was just the cherry on top. I will be returning ??I had the pan seared salmon w/ mashed potatoes and broccolini and a side of mac and cheese. Very flavorful and the salmon was cooked just right.
Menu offers many local favorites, like loaded mac&cheese and chicken&waffles. Cocktails are varied and tasty (I had the Feeling Whiskey). The catfish&grits were tasty, as well as the shrimp&grits. Only knocks are: they only serve 6 shrimp with the grits and charge more for extra shrimp; if you like spicy, then ask for hot sauce because the grits are on bland side, even the "cajun" style; no dessert menu offered. Otherwise, a good place to eat, drink and chill with friends.
Our server Carl was amazing! Made great recommendations. Two of us had the Shrimp and Grits feature with the catfish and everything was cooked to perfection. Grits were a little lumpy, cocktails were a little sweet for my liking, service and atmosphere were good. Groovy spot. Thanks to all.
Excellent, and popular restaurant. We came Friday night to find a 90 minute wait. This was due to the demand to have some of the best food, best service, and a live dj. We had been running around all day, so we chose to go elsewhere. The next day, though, we came back when they opened and ate some incredible chicken and waffles meals. We'll make it a point to stop by next time we are in the area.
Pleasantly surprised! I'm not one to frequent celebrity restaurants due to the service and negative connotations that come with it. I must say that this was a different experience!We were seated upon arriving on Sunday during busy brunch hours (around 4pm!). I was shocked that there was no wait but the crowd started to pile in as soon as we sat down. Our server was sweet!We ordered the world famous macaroni and cheese and the waffle fries as appetizers and those came out first.We also ordered some lemonade with water to start. Lemonade was good, made in house, maybe a little too much sugar. Our entrees were the classic and red velvet waffle with whole wings. The menu said that we would get 3 wings, but we were served 4 (probably since 1 was extremely small).The food was amazing, flavorful and the chicken was fried and seasoned well. I didn't even use my hot sauce, nor did I need extra syrup for my waffle like I usually do.It was brunch so the music was a bit loud, like too loud for us to hear each other in conversation.I'll definitely be back!
Food was excellent service not so much. The waitress acted like we bothered her each time we had to ask for something. We were a party of 8 and she never asked if we needed anything like refills, napkins. Otherwise the atmosphere was nice
Good place. Second time going and food was great. Grits are amazing. Red velvet waffle is delicious. Looking to go again when I'm back in town. Oh the drinks are actually filled with alcohol and not watered down. A+++
