I got the sampler platter to try and couple of their dishes and Jamaica Jamaica did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and had a good amount of spice. I would post a picture, but I ate it all before I thought about it... Lol! I'll definitely be back!
Well... First time here and ordered the brown stew... ? I tasted more like plain baked chicken that the just put sauce on top. Underneath the skin it was bland and there was no hint of any spice or flavor other than sugar (which still was just on the skin) The plantain had to have been sitting under a lamp most the they day because it was like cardboard... the carrot n ginger juice was good, and the rice itself the most flavorful part of the dish ... oh the cabbage tasted like just boiled water no salt or nun
My first time here and I must say the owner at the register is such a sweet soul!! She's heaven sent. My mom and I ordered dinner and my 4yr old daughter was with us and she made us feel so welcomed. After my mom received her food I then received mine. While standing there she asked my daughter if she wanted her own plate. My daughter said she likes chicken and wanted something to drink. She gave my daughter a full plate and something to drink. She said my baby was beautiful and now she's her adopted baby! She loves to spoil the children. I will forever be grateful for this moment. Some people are just Angels in disguise. My village is small but I can tell you we are family now. Thank you for being so hospitable and loving! Now on to the food lol!! It was delicious, filling, and very flavorful. My mom is picky but stated her curry goat was very tender. They have new sides on the menu as well. It was our 1st time here but it will not be our last. A mark was imprinted on our hearts to last a lifetime!?? ??Thank you!!
No. Just no. Last night was the first and last time. The oxtails were mediocre. The cabbage had no flavor. The macaroni and cheese was literally the noodles from a Kraft macaroni box but they tried to bake it to make it look authentic. I knew the food was bad because my daughter loves Jamaican food and she didn’t even like it. Never again. I should have known not to eat there when I didn’t see many customers. Save your money.
This was my first Jamaican food experience here in Atlanta. And I must say I'm impressed with the food here. I got grilled tilapia fish with grilled peepers and onions in a butter and herb sauce that was ok. Could have been seasoned more. But the worst was the rice and beans. It was hard and only saw 2 old hard beans thoughout. The plaintains were cold hard and not ripe enough to cook. And thw cabbage with veggies were cold and not seasoned at all. It seemed like they just steamed the cabbage and veggies in water and sliced it up NO seasoning on it whatsoever. This is not the best place to go for some good authentic Jamaican food AT ALL...
This food was so nasty I know Jamaican can cook they making other Jamaican restaurants having a bad name the Plantain jerk chicken rice bread cake all of them is nasty they must learn how to cook real Jamaican food and don’t go spoil our a name about Jamaican food ??? wouldn’t recommend any here I had through it out so I can’t take other pictures.
So the Service was great, but I did not enjoy the food. I had the sample platter which included oxtail, curry chicken and goat. The best part of the plate was the gravy and rice. The goat was tough, the oxtails was tough, and chicken was ok. Maybe I just had a bad experience, but it will be my first and last time there
On the right is the large I ordered and on the left was my wife’s. To charge for a large with only a 1-2 piece difference is crazy to me but what I really can’t get over is the amount of rice in the large compared to the small. When I brought it up there wasn’t anything done on their end to at least make me leave a happy customer. The least they could’ve done was add more rice. I’m West Indian and know fully how cheap it is to make rice and peas.Typically a usual here but this experience has me feeling indifferent.
Awful. Over charged, and quality of food was horrible. Cabbage was undone and veggies in the beef as well. Website says one price, I was charged $3 more and a convenience fee for using my card.
Very skimpy on food. Ordered two jerk chicken plates for myself and wife. Paid $24 plus 15% tip. No meat, just skin and bones.
