It was my first time eating the breakfast buffet at John Boy's in Cartersville. Everything was fresh and hot and good! The staff was very nice and seemed to be happy and enthusiastic about being there to serve us. I will most definitely be going back every chance I get. Thank you so much to the "John Boy's family" for making my Sunday morning breakfast a very pleasant and pleasurable experience!!!

If your looking for food straight out of the can or freezer this is your place. There was nothing about it that was home cooking. The country fried steak was frozen patties that I've bought at grocery store. The sweet tea was good and our waitress was very nice. Will not waste my money again.

4/20/22 First time eating here. Staff is friendly and attentive, food selection is VAST, has different items depending on which day of the week it is on top of the every day staples, and it's SO GOOD!! The piece of friend chicken breast I got was the biggest piece of chicken I've ever had and cooked perfectly. I got 2 plates of hot food so I could sample a bit of everything plus a bowl of salad. Haven't made it to the desserts yet, not sure that I should because I'm on my way to happily overstuffed right now. That's right - the food is so good that i am typing this review up while still chowing down. Wondering if they let you take a box home. Lol

Our first time here . We came for breakfast . I have to say the BEST thing about the breakfast was the sweet young lady who waited on us , the omelet station (delicious) and the fresh fruit. The sausage and breaded chicken Pattie’s on the buffet tasted (and looked) straight out of a frozen package . Chicken was bland and sausage was literally cold on the buffet. Bacon was rubbery . Grits were runny . The heavy , hard ,hockey puck biscuits were bland . Nothing about this place screams “home cooking “. I suppose I expected Cracker Barrel quality /taste. A disappointment to say the least . Overpriced for sub par food. Get the omelet . That’s probably the most fresh menu item. $37 later (3 people and a tip) we went home and ate a better meal. Can’t recommend or return to the breakfast . (Based on breakfast I won’t try lunch.)

We ate at Johnboy's today and let me tell you it is some good eating. You walk away so full you're ready to pop?. If you want good home cooking go to this restaurant. Guaranteed to please.

This was our first time at Johnboys and we weren't disappointed. It was a Saturday night around 6pm and not to crowded. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful with a great variety. From the salad bar to the dessert bar everything tasted great. The only thing that I would add is salt, the food definitely needed salt.

I've liked this place since their OG restaurant in Marietta. But lately the food has been better! Great buffet where you can get healthy, diverse, home cooking prepared fresh and seasoned just right. You can't go wrong here with great food and really awesome servers!

The wait staff were pleasant and friendly. The selections were various and good flavor. Some items were slow to be replenished during the lunch hour but, that can be expected. Price is good.
