Great food and outstanding customer service. This was my first time there. July 11, 2022.
Absolutely the worst service! waitress never came back after our meal showed up cold. meal being wings, tots and nachos. waitress socialized all around us and never attempted to follow up on drinks or food. always enjoyed the city tavern! the last few visits have proved this to be declining fast! it now is equally as poor as the bread pub!
If you’re looking for a special event venue in Carrollton, look no further than the City Tavern’s “Next Door” venue. I’ve attended and hosted multiple events here in the last year and they have been phenomenal EVERY SINGLE TIME. The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious, they are super accommodating, and the staff is second to none.
I used to go there about once a week, until now. 4/28/2022 I just had the saltiest wings and fries of my life, combined with a table of 13 beside us of the loudest drunks Ive seen in a long while. I'm actually surprised the occupancy limit gets exceded like it does, and nobody does anything about it. They actually cart all of the tables out on certain nights to get more room for the herds of drunk college types in there. Mystery indeed..... Please put a regulator on your kitchen salt shaker!
Will never be back here. The customer service was awesome but the food was disappointing at best, fries were hallow, the wine were dry and had pretty much drips on life sauce on them. Like I said service was top notch, despite the place being packed - but food was not worthy money.
We were actually in the Next Door venue, next door, to the Tavern, which they own. It is a catering venue. Food was good. Drinks were good. Great room with a bar. Lighting that you can set to your liking. You decorate or not.
Usually packed, so we figured we'd give it a shot. Atarted with mozzerella sticks. 6 cheese sticks for $6. Beer batter, so possibly made in house? Restaurant sin 1 was the prepackaged marinara that came with it. Burgers came out, and the tots were cooked well but unsalted. Burgers themselves were cooked fine, but had little to no flavor, just a plate for the toppings. I don't feel a strong desire to join the throngs at meal time. It was decent, but not worth the price. Has a ways to go to become a good stop.
Great Tots! I typically like fries more but their tots are perfect. The fried mac and cheese is great too!
First time there! Food was yummy, can't wait to try other items from the menu.
Food was good and reasonably prices, drinks on the other hand way over prices. $4 for a draft beer in a plastic cup. Seems a little steep.
