Large portions. Definitely taking some home for dinner! The sesame chicken is excellent, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant was quiet, there is a kind man running the whole show. I would say this would be great for takeout. Try it!
We were there at 1:30 on a Saturday. We were the only customers. Ordered chicken fried rice and general tso chicken. Fried rice was OK. My general tso chicken was sesame chicken. There was no Fusion to the Asian.
First visit. Arrived just before closing. I ordered Chicken Fried Rice, my wife ordered Mango Chicken, and my son ordered Sesame Chicken. It came out within 15 minutes. Everything had a great taste. Huge plate so the price was great. I think this is now our favorite local Chinese restaurant. This location is highly recommended!
Ate here before it had shut down and reopened, when Cathy was running it. Tried it again today a little over a year later and it was just terrible food. It seemed the rice had been microwaved. You can see liquid in the rice in the picture, not sure if it was water or what but it was just gross. The sweet and sour pork was burned. And the General Taos chicken had no sauce on it so it was just breaded fried chicken. And on the way home my whole car smelled like stale cigarettes.
We really wanted to like this place based on some of the reviews, but I didn't see the ones about not placing an online order. And I did just that... I placed an order through the restaurant's preferred app, got a confirmation and coupon code and everything. The order total came to about $40. So then when we went to pick up the food, the guy running the entire place alone said he didn't know how to get the online orders. So we reordered our food and waited. And waited. And waited. I tried to be patient but we were there over 30 minutes waiting after we'd already ordered online and waited the requisite 20 minutes before coming. And then the bill jumped to about $50 for the same items I'd just ordered online for cheaper.So anyway we got the food, and the results are... mixed. The potstickers were good, the ma-po tofu was delicious! They didn't have rice noodles so our pad thai got changed to a different dish but it was okay I guess. DO NOT GET THE WONTON SOUP. Neither of us could even eat a spoonful when we got it home. Blech.
Do not order online. They have a nice website, well set up, even verifies your cell number and sends you a confirmation text. But when we showed up at the time it said our food would be ready, the guy said he has no access to online orders. So we had to place our order again in person, and wait. The guy seemed to be the only one working, handling the front desk and the cooking.The food was kinda burnt, but other than that, pretty decent. Probably won't be going here again
Wanted to try something different than our normal restaurants in Carrollton. Read the reviews and figured we'd give Cathy's Asian Fusion a try. Walked in with 3 people and the place was a ghost town... figured it was because it was still early as it wasn't quite dinner time. Noticed immediately that the Health Score was not visibly posted. Were sat at a table and we were brought 1 menu for 3 people to share. Ordered our drinks and was looking over the menu. There was one guy running front and back of house. He recommended the pot stickers...we advised him we didn't eat pork and he proceeded to say there was only a little in it and continued to try to push them on us. From where we were seated you could see into the kitchen and we noticed several trays of pre-made food.That's when we decided just to pay for our drinks and leave. Couldn't bring ourselves to even try the food!If they aren't proud of their Health Score....RUN FAST!
Did an online order. When I arrived, owner stated he had not checked it in a while. Had to reorder and wait. Some of the worst Asian food I have had. Will stick to Chopstick Brothers next time.
