Have eaten there several times over several years and it's always very good. Tonight it was excellent. The Carroll County Cobb is an excellent salad, each element spectacular, the perfect fried green tomatoes and the succulent pulled pork the standouts. Fun, flavorful cocktails, great selection of sandwiches. We'll return every time we're in town.
Do you have over an hour time to wait for mediocre food? This place is for you. My side of fries were nothing but crumbs from the last parts of the french fry bag. My mother in law's burger was salty. My husband's fig-n-pig sandwich was good, but they skimped out on the meat. Spend your money elsewhere...don't even bother wasting time or money here. Our server was nice and friendly when she came to the table, but she went missing when I needed more napkins. I had to use my husband's napkin. She never came back with napkins. Would never come back here.
The restaurant seems to be in a beautiful historic building, and gives it an infinite amount of charm. When I asked what a southern side dish I had never had was, they came back with a small sample for me without me asking or even having the idea. The grits were truly wonderful, and is something I should try again sometime soon. All the food was stunning, and my dad said he had one of the best sandwiches he had ever had.
I am a regular since they opened, but I am quickly becoming less regular. Portions have diminished, and the food just isn't as good as it once was. I'm hating it too that it was one of our "go to" spots, but not so much any more. This last visit, we got a pile of many times fried french fry crumbs served to us, with what looked like a measly sandwich that was about half of the old fig and pig. Don't be fooled by the review pics.
Great food and drinks with a fabulous waitress!!!!
BEST food. Great waitstaff. The food is to die for, to say the least. Amazing attitudes the second you step through the door.Draft list and whiskey list is top notch.Highly recommend.First time- but not the last.1000 percent worth the hour drive ?
OMG, the food was fantastic. If shrimp and grits is on the menu, that is what I will order. This dish was heavenly, the grits were smooth and flavorful and the shrimp was perfection. Poutine, a popular Canadian dish, was a surprise to see so I also ordered it. I was not disappointed. The only downside is the restaurant is 90 miles from home. If I find myself in Carrollton again I am definitely eating here.
Unfortunately I only took a photo of my wrap but it was delicious. Everything was great. Molley was our server and she was awesome.
Average at best. I had the spicy black bean burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were soggy and cold. Good ambience though. The pimento cheese appetizer was on point though.
My wife and I both ordered the Whistle Stop BLT sandwich because we have had it before, and loved it. This time each sandwich only had 2 slices of very thin ( you could see thru it) soggy bacon. Service was great, but sandwich was all bread. Unacceptable.
