Always fun and great view of the lake. A little hot for inside today. Three of us had the fried catfish, one had boss hog burger and child hot dog. Loved the coleslaw and fried catfish! The hush puppies were also very good. Our favorite was the fried corn. I bc almost always get the river punch or dirty money drink. My mother in law got the pina colada. My husband got the frozen jack and coke.

Visiting from out of town. JDs on the lake was a good stop while visiting in ATL. The drinks were good, the food was flavorful, and the service was good. Shout out to Carolee who took care of our table.

I've tried twice to post this...seemingly unsuccessfully. I will try once more with fewer words before abandoning the effort. My wife and I ate here with a large group sitting at two large tables on the outside balcony overlooking the lake. The food was excellent. The highlight of our meal was the appetizer of hushpuppies and honey-butter and my grilled scallops over delicious green beans.Taylor provided us with excellent service, responding to a variety of requests for additional condiments, etc., as well as adding a take-out order for a catfish platter to my bill, mid-meal.Splitting orders for a large group is usually an issue, but Taylor handled it seamlessly and kept this process from taking away from the fun of the evening.I highly recommend this restaurant, its scenic location, its delicious food, and its wonderful service. A great time was had by all!

Nice spot on the lake. Small dining area inside, more places to sit outside but a more popular spot and likely a wait. The hush puppies were on the heavy side but were good once the honey butter was added. The fried corn is great - an ear of corn, fried with seasonings added. My nephew enjoyed the Boss Hawg, a burger topped with pulled pork, bacon & cheese. The restaurant was a former filming location for the show Ozark.

This must be a joke. We spent $15 for this. There is even no mayo in it. We could have gone to Wendy's for a much much better burger at a cheaper price. So disappointing.Edit: It is called "Impossible Burger", not sure which part of it refers to the name. It looked like the most possible burger for sure.

Very disappointed. We rode to JDs on the lake last Sunday. The service was terrible and the food was just barely OK.My wife ordered a $17 salad and when they brought it out it had NOTHING that the menu described. It was just a prepackaged spring mix and some dressing, no croutons or tomatoes or anything else advertised in the menu. She sent it back and ordered the catfish and when they brought that out IT was missing the slaw and hush puppies. The waitress told us she would do us a favor and leave the salad on the bill and not charge us for the fish as the salad was the cheaper option , it was in reality $4 bucks more.I ordered raw oysters, without a doubt the worse oysters I've ever ordered. I was raised on the gulf coast, so I know what a good, fresh oyster should look....and taste like. The beer was flat and barely cool. The service was terrible. The catfish was pretty decent but that is honestly the ONLY good thing I can say about the place. If you like terrible service, terrible oysters and warm beer, come on down, otherwise, save your money.

Wait time 50 minutes - told by hostess 30 minutes. Very few tables actually had customers eating. Lots of drinks only. Sat down and waitress said she could take our drink order but not food order at this time because kitchen was backed up. We would have to wait another 15 minutes before they could put food order in. WHY weren’t we told this an hour ago ?? Limited menu. Ordered 2 grilled chicken sandwiches/ a cheesesteak sandwich and a burger for 4 people. Every order was wrong. The 2 grilled chicken had cheese on both - ordered with NO cheese. Both ordered with onion - neither had it. The chicken was the size of one chicken finger. The cheesesteak was fatty and chewy. It was supposed to be prime rib. Came with fries and should have been chips. The bacon cheeseburger had NO bacon on it! Food was very bland - no flavor. Great view of the lake was the only thing this restaurant had. $102 for 4 people.

Mothers day checked their listing said open till 9 we get there at 7:30 and they say we are over booked ...and there are 5 waitresses standing around and several empty tables ...I know the girl hostess was just doing what she is told ...but we had planned on eating there ...and having an enjoyable mothers day evening ....and it was a big dissapointment .....so ......just be warned ....that their poster on front with their hours means nothing it depends on how they are feeling that evening I guess ...When I ate there last year it was wonderful and I had a great time ....this is close to home and I would love to support them ..but ...you are either open or your closed and you owe it to your customers to do that ....I dont care how good a location or your food ...you are either open or you are closed 1

3 hours we waited...3 hours....on our boat, stuck on a written wait list not even in their tablet. Tried going to the bar after 3 hours to be informed about the kitchen closing. So I go back to the hostess as I tried to explain we already had reserved on the list but got tired of waiting. No communication, no consideration to time, nothing. "We will text you"...turned into finding out about the kitchen and NOW I'm stuck doing a cold night cruise while very hungry...

Very cool atmosphere. Great view of the lake. Food was fine but nothing spectacular. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the visit. Recommend
