If I could do 0 star I would. This was a horrible experience. Walked in and no one said a word. They were just looking at us so we eventually ordered. Almost didn’t eat here to start with because the workers just seemed extremely rude. Ordered our usual and my chicken was so cold it seemed almost frozen still. While we were in there waiting for our food a young man- what seemed to be a boyfriend to one of the employees kept going in and out with free food they were giving him. This same employee was also smoking her vape while customers were there at one of the bar stools. One employee was cursing loudly with frustration from the oven Even though we felt unwelcome we made sure to tell everyone thank you for our food and smoothies and not one person said you’re welcome. Horrible experience. Do better.
I hate leaving bad reviews but this was an awful experience. I was going to walk out without a refund or my order with how disgusting the place was when I walked in and because she said they were out of limes. The lady said she couldn’t do refunds for some reason. Saw the lady move trash bags while making another order. The amount of trash that was on the floor was absurd. The lady was just throwing trash on the floor as she was making orders. No gloves were used. There was a mop just laying in the middle of the hallway. When I kindly reminded the lady to make sure my children’s smoothies were half sugar because I saw her put a full scoop in she sighed and called me a “B”. She over poured my children’s smoothies and rinsed them off, handing me the cups SOAKING WET. Absolutely awful and will never go back again.
Not a typical google review guy. But these people at this tropical smoothie are horrible. They were just chilling sitting in the back when we walked in. And when he finally came to take my order he walked to the register looking at his phone and was scrolling on his phone the whole time. Super rude super unprofessional super awkward…
I ordered for pickup and ordered a green smoothie with whey protein. I know the way whey proteins taste in my smoothies because I get them all the time, I could tell there was none on there and also the smoothie was watery. My husband took it back in to get it remade, I tasted it for the second time and all I tasted was whey protein and water. I was so upset I just threw it out the window. I don’t know if they were being funny or what. Also, I ordered a three cheese quesadilla and I got chicken, they remade that but made sure to burn it and add hardly no cheese. I will definitely not be back. Don’t get me started on the new sweet potatoes that were dry and burned with NO sun kissed maple of them. If I could give 0 starts I would!!
Previously gave 5 stars. Been a few more times. Not even worth 1 star. First the skimp out on the premium sides. It cost extra money to get a premium side, and won't even give you the full amount you payed for. Employees had an attitude when I asked for more. Second the food was awful. Asked for no cheese no chicken. Got cheese AND chicken. I'm vegitarian and didn't realize till I had been gone far enough to to not go back. Whatever they put it there, way too much juices of whatever, and no it wasn't sauce. Tasted like water. And to top it all off. Salty as could be. Waste of 15 dollars. Smoothie was the only good thing about it. Don't get the food.
I’m not one to leave a bad review but I used to work at a tropical smoothie maybe less than a month ago and i’m shocked how horrible this place is. I ordered a starfruit smoothie with whey protein and vitamins which tends to be one of my favorites. Since i used to work there, i was clearly aware that he failed to put both the protein and the vitamins in it because the protein container was sitting in my face and he failed to even look at it. so basically i paid extra for nothing. also the smoothie tasted like pure ice and hints of starfruit every now and then with chunks of fruit throughout it. it’s not that hard to make sure there’s not chunks of fruit in a smoothie. it’s called a smoothie for a reason so make it smooth and double blend it if u have to. the workers were completely in their own world on their phones and slurping smoothies while taking orders. it’s embarrassing to see a tropical smoothie run like this when i know it’s potential in other cities.
Dropped by Tropical Smoothie today with my daughter to get some lunch. Was disappointed to see only 2 people working an entire store on a busy weekend, but understood due to the lack of workers.Was greeted instantly by Matthew, and he recommended us the Bahama Mama smoothie. Tried out one of the Chipotle Club Flatbreads as well. The food was delivered quicker than the smoothies were, which was a little unfortunate but understandable once again.The food at Tropical Smoothie Cafe deserves a 5/5 stars! Absolutely excellent.The 4/5 stars applies to Lack of Help for these employees and the Cups. This location appeared to be out of the 24oz cups so we had to get our smoothies in 2 12oz Cups, which is fine but we weren’t previously warned of this.I would 10/10 recommend this Location! Very nice staff, seems to be hardworking as well. Hope to see them get some help! Feels like every time i come in i see a new group of people and never the same people.
The store was busy, i watched as an asian boy made my food. Took it all the way home just to find my food made incorrectly, and not cooked thoroughly. Called the store to complain and was met by a store manager, Matthew, on the phone. Matthew informed me the employee running the food lines at that time was a new employee, and ensured me that if i came in tomorrow my food would be made correct to the standard. He offered me a free food item on my next visit. My rating reflects my visit, But i am very satisfied with how the store Operates. Matthew is a class manager, and handled business how it should be done. I will be returning tomorrow for him to make my food.
Placed an online order ready at 7:40, showed up and the doors were locked. On the door posted was they close at 8. Knocked and the one sweeping didn’t look up, tried knocking and calling, nothing. If you are open until 8 then please stay open until then. If you don’t do online orders past a certain time then shut it off in the app so my card doesn’t get charged for something I can’t even pickup BEFORE close.
Terrible service. My order was taken by Kayla, and after I had paid for my food, she had given me a small drink for free because she “makes it different”…. While eating my food, her and the other lady here left in a car while two other customers just walked in. They waited for about 5 minutes until they came back inside to take their order… last person I would ever have work for me, and the first one I’d fire.
