The food was good and the staff was friendly. I really enjoyed it but the only one problem was no chicken fingers that was missed during my recent to the restaurant. I noticed every fast food restaurants has either chicken nuggets or fingers and definitely chicken sandwiches except for Steak and Shake. Please bring back chicken fingers along with heath candy bar milkshake another favorite menu item.
Personally don't care for their order at the kiosk and wait for the food to be called thing. Also didn't care for the fact that the milkshakes that we ordered with our food in stead of regular drinks didn't get brought out until we were almost done with our food. It also doesn't seem to matter what size fries you order you get the same amount. Food taste good though.
Unfortunately, COVID hit this place hard. It's no longer the noisy, packed, friendly place it used to be. Now it's sterile, quiet, and quite sad. They've mostly blocked off the kitchen and you now only interact with employees to pick up your food. The workers were all friendly in the brief interactions we had with them, but it just doesn't feel the same. It almost makes it feel as if no one works there. You even order your own food on kiosks at the front and seat yourself. We didn't see any coloring sheets or hats for the kids. The menu is slimmed way down. I miss the old place I used to hang out. Hope things change for you guys!
Took my son here for his first Steak and Shake experience. His exact words were "this was the best meal I've ever had" and he is a picky eater so that's quite the compliment from him.Dining area was clean and well kept, service staff were friendly and food was made in a timely manner.
Pleased to find this location had the dining room open. Kiosk ordering made it difficult to request specialization of items, also removes the personal touch. I was craving a good burger. Food was great.
What happened… no servers at all which was my favorite part of stake n shake. Always had good conversations with servers and always left nice tips for everything they did. The whole experience was disappointing except the food which has always been one of favorite places to grab a bite on my birthday will be finding another place to celebrate.
It's been a while and I was excited to stop by and have a good meal! I dropped this down a star for one reason . This virtue signaling with straws.. The straws for the shakes were a big fail.. I hope you are getting that great "we are saving the planet vibe" but you need to find another source. Try rice or other natural processes but those paper straws are garbage. Fix that and I will bump this a stars! If you are going paper just for the signal then stop. Ruined the experience.
To the white lady working the drive-through on Saturday Night, 3/5, you need to drop the attitude and quit lying to your manager. My group had a fairly large order so it took a minute to get everything together. While waiting for our food, one of my female friends had to pee so I went to ask about possibly letting her inside so she didn’t have to hold it in or go in the bushes. Before I could ask, the lady slammed the drive through window shut and immediately started yelling at her manager and pointing at me like I had done something wrong. When the food finally came out, she didn’t bother asking me if I had a question/comment/concern/etc. instead, she threatened me and lied to my friends that I was cussing her out at the window. I immediately proceeded to ask if there was any way my female friend could use the bathroom and she replied “no,” with an extremely snarky attitude. After I walked back to my car, as we were in 2 separate vehicles, the lady continued to lie about the interaction to my friends. On top of this, the order was incomplete and cold when I went to go check if everything was there to begin with. Maybe next time, they should focus on getting the orders right and moving the drive thru line along rather than complaining about customers to other customers. If I had a problem with my order and noticed while I was still in the parking lot, I would have had to go back up to the window anyways, but instead your employees have a terrible attitude and even worse customer service.
Sad to see what the pandemic has done to this place. I used to love bringing my kids here to eat and just chill. Now because of covid they don't even have a staff to serve. I miss those conversations and rhat family atmosphere. It's such a drag now. I don't think I will be back. Steak 'n Shake sucks!!!
I remember when Steak and Shake was considered a good place to go have a shake and a burger. Now it's just another fast food chain. Not impressed at all! Service was wonderful, food was not.
