Let me start by saying at this Buford Georgia location Ms Dot Is the epitome of a server Sonny's should be thrilled and happy to have her and should be giving her top pay scale for their corporation. She was on point with everything from drinks to food to checking to make sure we were okay. Never had to ask her a question about anything or to get anything for us. She was the best we've ever seen at Sonny's BBQ. Not only was the service the best ever but the food, the ribs sides everything was excellent and on point at this location I highly recommend coming here and sitting in Ms Dot Section . If you do sit in her section Make sure you tip her well. She deserves it. Thank you so much for a great Father's Day experience. I love you and I appreciate you. God bless you Ms Dot and Sonny's BBQ.
My husband and myself stopped by for lunch around 2 pm and I am in a wheelchair and it took them 5 minutes to decide where to seat us. Then after we were seated I asked for paper towels to be replaced on our table and the young lady I asked was new but how hard can it be to ask where she could find them. When our server took our orders she brought us the towels and she apologized for the other person not bringing them. Our server (Dot) was great. The food was not as good as it usually is my food was cold and I didn't send it back so that is on me but by that time I was exhausted and frustrated and just wanted to go home. I don't recommend this location.
An excellent place for BBQ in a casual atmosphere.
Sonny's has the best BBQ in GA to me. It gives me cookout vibes and backyard fun times with family. The sweet tea was not good though, not this time. Other than that, I love that they upsized the sidekicks, before they were pretty small. I enjoyed my food and will always be back.
Dee Dee was the best server ever! She was attentive and treated us like Family!!! And the food was delicious, I always order the chicken on the bone and I love the skin crunchy.
We ate at the Sonny's BBQ restaurant on Valentine's day. Good food. Great service. Everything was excellent.
Have been a customer for 20 years since we moved to Buford. I started going with coworkers for lunch. Every time it took almost our full hour for lunch. It takes forever to get the order taken then get your drink and then you wait at least 20 to 25 minutes to get your food, every time. I started going through the drive thru since Covid-19 and the service is fast and the order is correct and the food is great. Never putting up with poor service in dining room again.
Let me start by saying that I love Sonny's in Alabama and Florida. This location was a disappointment. We ordered Togo and did arrive late to pick it up. The flavor was mostly there except much of the meat was so hard that you couldn't chew it. Almost like overdone jerky. We ordered potato salad and baked beans with one entree and there were no utensils to use to eat those items. We each had indicated we wanted sauce with our entrees. There were 2 packets of sauce. I'm assuming one per entree! That wasn't nearly enough for 2 adults. The corn nuggets and garlic bread were the only acceptance parts of the meal.
First visit in 10 years, the place used to be great but it's somehow managed to get BETTER! Staff is really cool and friendly and they have a bar now!!! Food is even better than I remember too!!!
The food itself wasn’t bad. Not the best BBQ I’ve had but not the worst. The amount of food I got for the price I paid seemed very light. I got food for takeout and they did not include utensils or napkins.
