Went today with my daughter- the manager Mitch was so friendly and was helpful to his staff, he was a breath of fresh air and he did everything possible to make sure our visit was top notch! Our waitress Ashley was attentive, professional and very nice as well as an outstanding waitress. We really appreciate all their hard work even though they didn’t have much staff. These two deserve a raise for everything they have to do every day!
This was an awful experience. The restaurant was dirty the bathrooms were absolutely atrocious. The food was terrible. We both ordered the grand Taco salad with beef. There was no beef, the taco shell was very cold. The salsa was sitting on a counter in their kitchen wirh out any wrap on it. The chips were full of oil and salt, they were so greasy my husband tried wrapping them up to get the grease off to no avail. We paid the bill without eating . Told our serve how awful it was. She still brought the entire bill out didn't apologize nothing. Strongly recommend not going here ever.
This was a very unfortunate experience. I have always loved On The Border, however my experience at this particular location was subpar, to say the least.Staff was friendly and nice, overall.Food was barely palatable.I understand the “lack of workers” but this should not affect the quality of food I have come to expect from this franchise. This location could use an awakening from ownership, or be expecting doors to be closed up.
Seriously disgusting chicken tacos…
Runny beans… Gross!!!
This was an unfortunate experience. I used to love this chain but I think I'm done here. I arrived on a Friday night a little before 9 pm. I was solo So I asked for a seat at the bar which was completely empty. There were unused serving trays on the opposite side of the bat, no bartender. He was working as a server in the restaurant. There wasn't a single spot at the bar that didn't have visible food on the bar. When thw bartender made it over with chips and salsa and to get my drink order I asked him to please wipe off my section of the bar. It was the best spot I could find but still not at all.clean. he'd already put down the sticky menu and chips/salsa and I asked he quickly wipe it down. I moved everything including the empty bar napkin box to the side so he could. The chips and salsa were good. The margarita was also good.I ordered the three sauce burrito with beans and rice. Beans and rice were OK but the burrito was not worth eating. I picked at maybe 20% of it.The chicken inside had a strange texture and was totally bland ans tasteless. The tortilla seemed uncooked and tasted like raw flour. I don't know if they make those on-site or not but it wasn't good. I had enough to eat from the chips rice and beans. Paid my bill and left.
Gotta love the fresh tortillas at On the Border in Buford. We usually go at lunch time while out with real estate clients. Andrea was our serve this time and she was friendly and attentive. The restaurant just felt it seemed dirty. The front doors were covered in finger prints. I opened my menu and 2-3 chips feel out. The food was delicious but the environment wasn’t great for us.
The food was really good. The service, not so much. We did not get chips and salsa that we thought typically come to the table when you sit. We had to ask for chips to go with our corn dip appetizer and never got salsa. My husband ordered a drink and he finally got that after eating our meal, and his beer had salt on the rim. This was our first visit here. I would try again because the food is really good, but we will see.
Listen to the prior reviews and save yourself time and money. I will NEVER go back. It took an hour to get our food, and it was not worth the wait either. Nobody I was with really enjoyed their food, and I was there for business. DO NOT GO.
The food was lousy. My cheese enchilada was cold (cheese not melted) and the beef taco tasted awful. The ladies restroom was dirty and no paper towels were available.
