I was in the area on vacation and was recommended this spot as a locals favorite. So we decided to check it out. We went during the day around 2:30pm and even past the lunch rush they were still extremely busy. We discovered that you order your food at a window outside and the line was 10 people deep. FYI i would call ahead with your order and pick it up bc I realized that seemed to be what most people do bc we were there over an hour just walking up and ordering. Anyways I got a chili cheese dog and a Brunswick dog and it was all very tasty. This is not a fast food establishment. Plan on having a few extra mins bc they are super busy and you will be waiting for a bit. But the food is worth it.
If you love hot hogs and informal dining this is your place. Hot dogs with a myriad of topping selection. Very casual indoor and outdoor seating. Go to the windows to order.
An absolute adventure! You order your "named" hot dog by what you WANT on your hot dog. Hamburgers. Cheesesteaks. Pork chop sandwiches. Fries are great! And nothing beats the jumbo sweet tea on a 90 degree day. The best part? Standing in line talking with the "regulars" around you. An adventure! As an aside...they...like every other small company in America...are short-staffed. Be prepared to wait a few extra minutes. Take the time to chat with the folk around you.
My friend recommended this eatery as a must place to visit, so I rushed over tonight too see what the rage was all about. I arrived at approximately 7:40 pm and waited at the window for 5 minutes. Finally, someone approached the window laughing and said, "We're closed." Terrible first impression. I waited along with two other would-be customers. The website and the store sign clearly states, "closes at 8pm." Terrible way to conduct business!!!
My fiance boasted about this establishment and how great the dogs were. Keeping in mind the shortage of staff and changing of the times I found it to be just another hot dog stand basically. I could tell the slaw on my doh was store bought, not homemade. And the Frank's to be ordinary store bought cheap Frank's. From what I read and hear about the place to me it didn't live up to the hype. I gave this place 3 stars because I believe the current staff really are trying and working hard to keep it going. But maybe they need to use the original customes of past ownership. Just 1 man's opinion.
This is a local favorite of mine, and my fathers. Even after the change in ownership following the unfortunate passing of the original ownership, the quality of the original is maintained. I love the fast friendly service, and I love how their fries are seasoned. The slaw here is off the chain and the fried pork chop sandwich is probably the best I have ever had. After many years of visiting here I have yet to try the cheeseburgers but it is on my to do list.
Great food with excellent service I will be back again enjoy my visit, always service with a smile.
I’ve been going to Willie’s Wee-Nee Wagon since I was in college back in ‘99. Flat out, unless something drastic prevents it, I make it a point to go by there to grab some food if I’m driving anywhere near Brunswick! The food and service here NEVER disappoint. I always get the Willie Burger. The flavor is out of this world! They’ve also got great hotdogs and a pork chop sandwich that will knock your socks off! ?If you’ve visited the Golden Isles and have yet to visit Willie’s… your doing yourself a disservice.
The best, the best hamburgers not only in Glynn County but I've ever had. And I'm from Chicago. Been going there whenever I travel in that area since I discovered Willie's back in 1990.
I lived here for about a decade. Willie's is a local favorite. I suggest the pork chop sandwich with peppers. I know some people love the other options like burgers, dogs, etc., but I will literally drive off I-95 out of my way to get a pork chop sandwich any time I drive by Brunswick and the Golden Isles.
