We all loved the food! Our server was friendly and nice, and the place looks super cool. The only reason i don't give them a 5 star is because we waited too much for our food, and there was not even 4 tables dining in, but i'm glad the food was worth the wait.
Went to eat for father's day after they reopened. The hostess sat us without a server so we waited for 20 minutes before asking for one. We got Paisley and she was great, but already had several tables and we had a large party. (The server right next to us had 3 four tops.). The hostess was defensive and kind of rude when we pointed this out. The manager came over and was about as helpful as a soup fork. The food and our server were great and this may have been an isolated incident, but I will probably avoid going back for awhile.
I am a travel nurse originally from Augusta, GA but I was in search of great BBQ here in town and discovered Sonny's BBQ after it was recommended. I always get the Sonny's BBQ sampler and trusted Ms.Wendy's recommendations as far as my meat suggestions. I am never disappointed as the service is excellent and the food is even better !- Asia
We stopped here for a meal.Ribs were dry and tasted like they were made the day before and just warmed up.We feel the food has gone downhill and not up to past Sonny's quality.They also need to upgrade the restaurant, as it looks worn and tired.Stephanie provided good service though.
We have been going here for over 10 years and have always loved the food. Well this trip was an exemption. I always order the beef brisket sandwich. Today it came to my table smothered in giant cubes of pure fat. The fat was even pink. I only had a few squares of actual meat. I could not locate my waitress I asked another one if she could get my waitress. She said she would but she stood talking to another employee as if not to care about my request. Some time passed and I finally see my waitress again and tell her to exchange my sandwich that it’s pure fat cubes. It was clearly visible on the plate as it was being handed to me. I can’t believe they served it looking like that. So she brought me a bbq pork sandwich. I’ve had this numerous times but it was tougher meat today. The only thing that was very tasty was the fried okra. I will not be returning. I drove an hour to eat here because it has always been so good. I’m disappointed!
Great BBQ - ribs. chicken, beef. Many sides available too. Large portions. Good service. What more can you ask for?
Good food and friendly service. The brisket was tasty and so were the coleslaw and beans. We will stop at one again.
Great service and amazing food. I love this chain, whenever we stop in it is so fast and very constant. I always get sweet tea, it just goes great with the bbq. Dry rub ribs are very good. I usually get a sampler with ribs, pulled pork, sliced brisket, and chicken. The baked beans are my favorite side, they are sweet and smokey. This location had a bar, I don't think they all have this. I can't wait for then to be able to bring back the salad bar. Even though they are very fast, the salad bar used to be great with many options. I also noticed this location was very clean. I used the restroom and was happy to see it was kept very clean as well. We will be back!
Ajorrie was our server and she did an excellent job!!!! She took excellent care of us, smile was always on her face, and made us feel like we were her only customer, even though we weren’t. The food came out quickly, hot, and delicious. Now for the but: the cushions to the booths NEED replacing. They are very worn and tattered. Very close to I-95 so easy on and off, gas stations too if needing to fuel up both the car and Sonny for yourselves. We always stop when we are traveling by.
Quick service and good food. We stop here all the time and are never disappointed. Easy access on and off 95. Everything on the menu has pleased us.
