I was in Brunswick for a funeral, the repass was held at this restaurant. My wife and I truly enjoyed the meal. The place is very clean and the waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs. There is a large variety of food choices: meats, vegetables, starches and desserts. The next time we our traveling from Florida going north we plan to definitely stop by Ole Time Country Buffet.
Great selection of food! If you leave hungry, it's your own fault!
Very much like the old golden corral with a more rustic atmosphere. I can appreciate the bags of veggies, honey, and sauces sold up front. Charged .99 for water. Spacing between tables is adequate though a few are a little tight for a wheel chair. There was a hair in the Mac n cheese but when alerted they immediately pulled it off the line. I also had to get up to get my husband's tea refill and water but after that the waitress was better. If the cabbage was cooked in some meat like the green beans seemed to be it would have had some flavor. The fried squash was mushy but had good flavor. Last bad was when opening the women's restroom you can see everything. Now for good.... the cornbread stuffing and ribs were good. Okra had good flavor as it seemed to be fried in the same fish grease. Those rolls were also very good, as was the banana pudding. Decently priced at $15.99 for Sunday afternoon buffet.
We were very disappointed after reading the great reviews. There was alot of different kinds of food, but it didn't have any flavor, and it wasn't even close to being warm!
After reaching town and driving for 4 hours, we were hungry. Wow- did this place serve its purpose. Big, clean building.. Plenty of seating- the selections were really great. We were there mid afternoon and the place was doing a solid business. For the amount of food to choose from and the price= what a bargain. The meats= fantastic, veggies, oh my. What the best part of the experience= the wonderful smiling staff. Made this first time visitor feel welcomed. I will stop again if in the area...Tasty!
My sister and I were passing through on our way back to NC. We stubbled on this restaurant. I will be making a trip back here. Omg the food was amazing great country flavors. So much to choose from and the peach cobbler was amazing. Our waitress Linda was funny and we loved how she had great customer service. Can't wait to eat here again.
Food was great! A lot of varieties. Desserts have the perfect amount of sweetness to it. Staff was friendly, waitress refilled my soda without having me to ask.
Drove off I-95 a short distance and found this ole timey buffet. Even though it was very busy with it being during Sunday lunch we didn’t have to wait at all. Food is AMAZING! Yummy and tasty from the ribs, fried fish (delish with just the right amount of breading), okra, fatback, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, pulled pork ? Do yourself a favor and get off in Brunswick GA ?
I am a local senior citizen . I have been eating at this restaurant since they opened . Most of the food is authentic country made--- not all. They are really lacking in the desert section. I have had better pecan pie out of Walmart's frozen food section. The menu on the bar is a hit and miss kind of thing . They do not offer senior citizens discounts . I can not believe they have started charging for water that comes out of a faucet . The least they could do would not charge for water. They must be really hurting since they built this new building .
Passing through, we stopped here to eat as the result of a Local's recommendation. We were not disappointed. The cost was reasonable for a buffet. They had a huge selection of fish and chicken varieties. Their pork ribs were tender. There was a nice selection of side dishes, salad bar and desserts. The restaurant is very big and very clean. Restrooms were clean. Our server (serving beverages and clearing plates) was very attentive and friendly. We met several people who are local and traveler regulars who love to go there. Plastic hand gloves were provided to use while dishing food onto one's plate.
