Our waitress Julia was polite, professional and super helpful. Their version of oysters Rockefeller were one of if not the best I have had. Entrees: fried shrimp very good huge portion, smothered chicken too salty and gravy less than good. Sides: sweet potato soufflé, cheese grits excellent, pan fried cabbage too greasy, creamed spinach average.
We were seated at 8:00 pm. Somehow our food order was misplaced or given to another table. We waited anyway because it was so late. The food was good but the staff did nothing to compensate for our time and the disservice. We waited several minutes for our check and hoped they were at least giving us a discount. We finally paid and left at 10:00. We are visiting from St. Louis and this was the only disappoint thing about our entire trip.
The server was excellent with very pleasant attitude! The steak was perfect along with all the other goodies ! Will b going back again !
The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because we were seated quickly, our server was really nice and the ladies restroom was clean. I ordered beef tips and rice. I was expecting traditional southern beef tips and rice. It wasn’t good. The gravy was disgusting, the meat was so sparse and tiny. The rice had something in it. I had the other 2 people in my group taste it to see if it was just me. It was not. I told our waiter Glen and he took it back and I ordered chicken alfedo instead. I didn’t have time to taste it before we left as they were getting ready to close. I took it with me. I’m all for garlic flavor but it was overpowering the meat and noodles. I drank a sweet tea as well. If you like sweet tea, I recommend ordering something else to drink. It was a half step above being unsweet. We’re not going back if we’re ever down that way again. My partner got shrimp alfredo and he wasn’t pleased with his meal either. He did eat it though.
Bacon cheeseburger and patty melt were good. Service and kitchen was slow. Had to ask a waitress for drinks (not even our waitress) & give her our order. Finally our waitress came out with the drinks. It took an hour to get our food. Too many attempts to get the waitress' attention ignored. Covid is still having an effect as evidenced with the lack of staffing and slow service.
Abby sat us and booked our reservation A+…Katey was our server supper sweet and on her point!!! Our bartender Zach was awesome and great at recommending bourbons lol I should’ve listened to him!!!
If you care ANYTHING about good food do not go here. I opted for convenience since I was staying at the holiday inn and regretted the $50 dollars I spent there.Called in for a takeout order for Doug oysters and the seafood combo ( grouper and scallops) side salad and green beans. The woman that took my order said she would call when the order was ready and it would be about 15-30 minutes. 40 minutes later had received no call so decided to head down and see about my order. Went to the hostess desk where a couple was ahead of me and I was next but instead I was shocked when the hostess instead of acknowledging me ..turned her head towards a group of six who had just walked in the door ...Really bizarre ... it’s very clear that there is very poor training here and no sign of management. Anyway my order was still not ready when I got there and when I finally did get it ...oh boy wish I had just cancelled it as I was standing there waiting.The oysters were DISGUSTING ? .please don’t do it to yourself and get these they will disappoint and disgust any oyster lover. The grouper and scallops while good portions were cold nothing I would get again barely edible. And the green beans were missing. It wasn’t worth my time to even walk down and tell them. The only thing I would recommend here was the salad . I would have just had a bigger version of that had I known the food was so bad.

Awful. Had breakfast here today. Server and hostess were very aloof. Our coffee was cold and was like mud. Entrees were tasteless and greasy and we paid $5 for a side of fruit that was 5 grapes and 10 blueberries. When our server brought us our food she said she would be right back with coffee refills. We never saw her again. We had to flag down the hostess to get our check and when we tried to pay her she told us we would have to wait for our server whom she said was busy with other tables. 20 minutes later my husband walked over to the hotel attached and got change so we could pay our bill with cash. Terrible service and mediocre food, go somewhere else.
Went in there tonight to get some to go food! I understand they’re busy and I get that since I’m in the industry. But to let to go food get cold to wear nothings good is not acceptable. I ordered a couple easy things and gentleman next to me ordered 4 cheesesteaks they got their cheesesteaks before me and I ordered my food 20 minutes before them. Not happy! I would love to recommend this place but with these kind of ticket times not good!! All I ordered was a fried pork chop sandwich shrimp bisque and red rice and beans and that took over an hour!
