Well Brunswick its been a real experience for the 7 years I have been living here on and off 2022 has been the year lot of the real ugliness show up. Back in April my nephew and I drove up to the drive through of Captain D's on Altama Conn in Brunswick and The person on the intercom stated that, and I quote "we are under staffed and overwhelmed so your order may take up to 20 minutes is that ok"? I sad ok and sat there for a minute then drive around to a parking spot which the whole parking lot was empty and there was no line or anything. 5 minutes in I felt like using the bathroom so I walked up to the door to see if they were actually open which it was so i went in. I couldn't get a sentence in before i was attacked verbally by who must have been the manager. I repeated 3 times the question why are you talking to me like this? She called the police they came and I told them what happened they sent me on my way. There is cell phone video of this incident and I will reach out to the people who have them if needs be. Captain D's look into this incident and you might learn why business is not so bright at this location.
I have to say for short staffing this day the employees did well. The person who took our order had a great attitude considering being overwhelmed by takeout and dining in.
Three adults ate lunch and the cost was 19 dollars and some change. Fast and friendly service and the food was cooked just right. Amazing prices. Meal's at most fast food's that would have spent 25 too 30 dollars. Captain D's the best deal for the price. Love it. The only thing I can say is, your not there yet?
The wait time is horrible. They have horrible customer service. Food is good though and always hot. However they loose a lot of customers because the drive through wait time to order is always and I mean always over 15min.
DoorDash shouldn't even allow them to create a "separate" restaurant like they allowed Captain D's to do with "Catfish Kitchen." Ordered 20 pc catfish, fries, hush puppies, and shrimp, and received a side of fried okra and a 4 pc catfish basket, that's it. What a joke. I never would've even ordered if I would've known it was Captain D's.
Awful service cooked our order wrong then could here the lady tell the kitchen it was wrong and then said out loud oh well I will give it to them anyhow when I went to get the food she then asked if we just wanted the order they made instead of what we ordered I said we wanted what we ordered and I was given an attitude by her and the kitchen staff said it wasn't their problem it was a mess definitely need to fix the restaurant
The WORST Captain D’s ever! Fish over cooked, hard and greasy! The corn on the cob had a weird taste. Don’t waste your money here. They took the fast out of fast food. I waited nearly 30 minutes just to get hard greasy fish. Oh by the way the hush puppies were hard and tough. Never again I will waste my money here.
I’m really getting tired of having to eat my lunch in my car on my lunch breaks… why in gods name is the dining room not open!?! How long are we going to make people sit in their cars in the parking lot to eat?
So we ate a late lunch, this Captain D is really run down. No other customers around. Our server Carla was friendly and helpful. The cook (older lady, maybe management or lead) had our order up within 45 seconds, was going to give us old fries but Carla asked her if they were fresh fries, cook pulls them back and cooks us fresh fries. So I kinda lost my appetite by the time I sat down and looked around as you can see by my pictures. The windows are filthy, the trash cans are filthy, the hot sauce bottles are filthy. Management needs to clean up. The reason for 2 ? is for Carla being friendly. Oh and the Pepsi man would be bringing me a new machine up to pare, this one is breaking.
Waitress was very nice made sure my food was cooked fresh. Food was excellent
