not only was the food we ordered outstanding, this place actually had it going on with plenty of help. Great service. We totally enjoyed it.
John, Dre, Cori, & Nacho were really amazing . . . They really impressed me with the hospitality/service. Cory & Dre both recommended the catfish which was very good! Also, she was fast with service and so kind. John was really nice and patient.Cori also continued checking on me my entire time. Cori, came with nothing but personality. I highly recommend this place to others looking for a combination of great service plus food in the Augusta area.I’ve never experienced a restaurant like this, where the workers are are team members. No one points fingers, everyone chips in and get the job done. Me being a server, I’m very impressed with this place 20/10 recommend. Lastly, they had a gray atmosphere and wonderful music.
The deli was really busy today. Half our order was delayed because of a lost ticket, otherwise lovely lunch. Very sweet waitress. I'll tell ya nobody was just standing around talking! Everything as always was very good. The fried mushrooms were fantastic and hot hot hot. First time I tried the lemon pepper ranch wings. They were delicious. Beer battered fries are always so crunchy good. Hubby had the Thai chili wings and loved them. Little hot little sweet.
The hamburgers are thick and juicy. Sweet potato fries ok, wouldn't get again. The bacon was hard, not crispy. The BLT sandwich needed more lettuce and tomato; bacon was hard. The waitress Leslie was very good. We couldn't wait to hurry up and eat and get out. Because it was freezing cold and music too loud. If it doesn't change, we won't go back. If the manager was there, didn't see he or she.
The Village Deli is a Hidden Gem in Augusta. Located in a shopping center, it is hidden between two other restaurants. When you walk in you are welcomed with a smile. The wait staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is incredible! They have a variety of things on their menu and all of it is good! You get large portions at extremely economic prices! The decor is intriguing with some vintage items and also sports memorabilia. It is a very friendly, casual and relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be making this a regular place to eat at.
I've been eating here since I was a kid. The service has been consistent since the doors opened. This menu is huge and there's literally something for everyone. A hidden gem in Augusta! Highly recommend the country fried steak sandwich with beer battered fries. I literally never get anything else because I love it so much and it's not an item that most places have.
Fantastic lunch. Love the atmosphere and the food was delicious.
Me and my Queen been coming here for 15yrs! The vibes and food is amazing and the associates are outstanding.
I have ate at village deli for 30 years and the last 6 months I have grown to hate it. Rude employees and manager. Food taste is like old grease. Can't ever get a refill. Prices way to high for what you get. Will never eat village deli again in my life. None of my family will. That manager is a horrible person with a God complex. She needs fired immediately. The employees hate her and tell customers how difficult she is and cheap she is. Highly advise you not to waste a penny here. If you saw the kitchen area you'd run! Disgusting!
We came on the recommendation of a supervisor. It was solidly good, the meat for the burgers was fresh and tasty. The consensus of the family is that the burger lacked seasoning, good quality base product but the execution was lacking from the expectations. Just a bit of salt and pepper could knock this out of the park. The sweet tea was awesome! The fries made a decent showing. We are intrigued by the soup and sandwich listing, so will be back to sample other offerings. Overall good food of great quality at a decent price. I would recommend passing on the glass of water here.
