Today, June 4, 2022 @1250pm I had the displeasure of visiting this Robert C. Daniel Tropical Smoothie Location. I placed an online order. Not only was a person that came in after me acknowledged before I was, when I got into my car and looked at my order, I see the very small amount of corn in the container. I went back in and told the young lady that this looks like a very small amount of corn. It is no way near filled in/up enough in the container. She proceeds to say "that is how much comes in there. It was pre-made. I wasn't one that made it." I told her I usually go to the North Augusta or Evans locations but was on this side of town and I know I have definitely reveiced fuller containers than this. She then shrugged her shoulders and walked off. No type of apology or effort to fix my order. There were 3 black girls in there. I hate to speak poorly of my own kind, but I stated that only so management may see my review and be able to easier narrow down who was working on this day and at this particular time. They all seemed overwhelmed and/or uninterested to be there. I love Tropical Smoothie, but this experience today definitely left a bad taste in mouth.
I love tropical cafe but this location sucks! From the customer service to them being out of something every single day. They are always out of pineapples, strawberries, and now today they tell me that they are out of chicken. This is ridiculous, they barely even acknowledge you when you walk in the door. They will carry on with their laughter and conversation before greeting you and taking your order. I may just give corporate a call because how are you out of something EVERYDAY?
I love the smoothies and food but the service is just so bad. I ordered online because I go to pick up food on my break and I told the girl my name and she did not even look in the fridge and just said ok, then proceeded to take 3 other customers orders then another lady came for her online order and the girl went in the fridge and that lady left immediately after that I asked if my order was ready and then she pulled out my smoothie?♀️ It was ready all along and I wasted about 10 mins of my time and was rushed on my break. Then a week later I went back and this time the service was fast but the food was made poorly. I got the chicken pesto wrap and it was smothered in pesto and there were no lettuce or tomatoes like the description said also it was cold and on top of that I received no silverware or napkins but at least my smoothie was good.
I love Tropical Smoothie ❤ my top favorite smoothies from them are Avacolda, Chia Banana Boost, and their Pomegrante Plunge ?
everything is great…. except the customers. i feel so bad for the staff being stopped multiple times a shift i’m sure, to have a customer make a scene during the busiest hours of the day. it also holds everyone else in the store up. watching staff get yelled at is miserable especially if they just have to stand there and take it. please raise a hand if you’d like to forcefully remove these people from the store?♂️
I like tropical smoothie but this location has seemed to drop the ball with service. There is a curbside pickup option and I ordered food before I even left my house 20 minutes away. Got here at 3:06 and ordered at 2:48 it’s 3:31 as I’m typing. I called the first time and let them know I was here. He said they would be out shortly. I called the second time about 15 minutes later and asked if it would be easier for me to come in to get my order if they are busy, she asked me what my order was and said to me we will be right out. About minutes has gone by and I’m wondering if my order was made at all in the first place.. very upsetting to have a curbside option and it not be functional. If they are short staffed i understand but she could’ve told me to come inside to grab it. But the curbside option may be more hassle than what it is worth just a heads up.Update: waited almost an hour for cold fat filled quesadillas, watery smoothies, and a banana flat bread that was dripping with watery honey. I never write reviews but I paid $17.03 for my food today and was extremely unsatisfied and disgusted with service and quality of food. This location needs some real help they are probably short staffed but that should not stop the way quality of the food.
Their food and smoothies are great. The service sucks. The staff is rude. They never answer the phone to place orders or always have a busy dial tone
Loved my wrap and my smoothie I'm rarely in Augusta i stop here every time and I'm never disappointed, the team was very nice and I was out in a jiffy! Look forward to my next stop in.
This the second time I have visited the Cafe and was disappointed with my smoothie. It was too much ginger and something was missing it tasted like ginger and water. I don't think I will be returning.
Ordered online and walked into a very unorganized set up making it appear you have to wait in the order line to pick up your food. I told them my name and was told it was still being made. Waited 10 minutes and saw people who ordered in store after me get their orders so I finally stopped them to check my order and they couldn’t find it. Turns out i watched them dig through the back of other orders to find mine that was ready the moment I walked in 10 minutes prior. Not sure if this is a poor training issue or organization issue but I was very dissatisfied. Not to mention I wasnt given a straw with my smoothie so I had to wait in line again to ask for one to not be rude to the other customers.AND just checked my order….rotting banana and they gave me the wrong sandwich order. Unbelievable
