Of all the Indian Restaurants in Augusta, Taj of India is the best. I dont like how other Indian restaurants in the city are missing an authentic taste but Taj does a great job of making all the flavors be present. The manager is always very nice and it's one of the few places in the city where I have to be careful asking for spicy (which I think is a good thing) but most people would do well on medium spiciness here. Overall I think they deserve a try and are much better than Curry Hut and others!
Best Indian food in the area. I've tried Lahore, curry hut, and persis and they've all been sub par and they add tons of curry leaves and leave them. Here they add cilantro on top and it's perfect. The Naan is always so garlicky. My favorite restaurant.
What a horrible owner. I made sure my order comes to include breast but they brought me legs and when i told the owner he said yes we only have legs. Why did you not tell me that when I asked you for a breast. Then he takes the food and did not care a bit. So expensive they charge $9 for two pieces of samosa that i get for $2 max in the best indian places. and the waiter tells me it's jumbo and he brings it was very regular size. Very bad . Not eecommended at all
Whoever made my damn food needs a raise. No. They need a promotion. No. Just give them full ownership of the restaurant. Because BAYBEEEEEEEE my mouth is so happy right now. I'm talking I'm currently in the break room with a coworker I can barely stand but I was actually laughing at her corny jokes and making it through my lunch break with her because this food made me that happy. Everything was a hit. No misses. 10/10 would recommendEdit: sorry for no pictures. It's in my stomach now. I should've taken some before I started eating
Had a fantastic lunch at Taj of India. Everything was spot on. The flavors were amazing and the service was perfect! Can't wait to go back!
Not complete authentic Indian food. If you are Indian, then you may not like the food. Food was not very spicy. Aalu partha, please avoid to order it; no aalu or potato ? inside that. Naan bread was also not good. For one person, cost will be approx $20-25, if you order only two items.
If I could give this place 100 stars, I truly would. The owner is of this restaurant is the most humble man I’ve ever met. We forgot our wallet at home and we turned around to go back home to get it. It took it roughly 45 mins total of wasted time. When we showed up to the restaurant, we apologized for taking so long and explained the situation. The owner said next time if we ever forget your wallet, please just come in and take the food and pay me later over the phone. I am in such shock that a business owner would consider doing that because of how untrusting people can be these days.. however this man would give his shirt of his back to you. He’s an incredible person! The food is absolutely off the charts. So delicious and full of flavor - truly authentic. I would pick this place than any other place in Georgia! We have eaten here probably over 20 times and I’ve never the time to leave a review but I absolutely had to this time over how amazing this restaurant and the owner is! I would truly never forget this! They’ve earned a customer for life! I 100% recommended this place to anybody!
Excellent food and wonderful service.
I love this restaurant! Visit all the time. Take out is fast and delicious, but even when I dine in, service is good and food is amazing! Thank y’all for this gem.
We visited Augusta for an event and saw the great Taj reviews. We were not disappointed!! Tasty Indian food. Nicely prepared and presented. The service was very friendly. The owner, Maria is funny and put a smile on our faces. Highly recommended!!
