Such a beautiful little spot in Augusta. A small place with a WHOLE LOT of flavor. This place has something special going on in that kitchen.Never thought my favorite shrimp and grits would come from a restaurant in Augusta, but here we are. The shrimp and grits were superb in every way. It was flavorful and was not lacking in any way. I was unfortunately too full from the grits to get any cake but I’ve only heard the best about it. If I could give a place 6 stars I would give it here. The beer on draft was great as well. They had a wide selection to choose from. The servers were extremely helpful and knew what were the best things to order. Hunter was awesome and very helpful. He was a great server and checked in on me numerous times. This is definitely a go to place in Augusta.

I would like to start with a detailed description of the rusty, kind of cool interior but have to jump ahead to say that I had some of the best cheesecake and clearly the best blueberry cheesecake in my life. The slice was big and the cake so rich that I didn't even regret that I had ordered the dessert with two forks. The chipotle black bean burger banh mi style was a good vegetarian sandwich and I enjoyed the accompanying chips with Texas Pete. The beer selection was a mix of local and popular American crafts and was offered at a surprisingly low price. I was happily surprised when all pints came filled to the brim and the charming waitress never spilled a drop.I like friendly service, decent beers, and I enjoy flavorful food. This place hit all three criteria with top marks. The only thing I would wish for is an expansion of their sides. Pasta salad or chips is a bit boring and not the lightest or freshest sides.

Visited Boll Weevil Restaurant with my husband. The service was fast and atmosphere was nice. We had the Bubba’s Nachos. It has lots of olives. The Salmon was delicious with a semi sweet garish on top that pops in your mouth. I would order it again. Desserts was super big and amazing delicious. The Dessert menu will leave you wanting to try them all to see what is the favorite ?. After you finish eating take a stroll on the Riverwalk for a nice romantic evening.

The menu looked good, unfortunately we left before ordering anything. Our server didn't seem to want to be there, he didn't know what beers they had so my husband went to ask the bartender and she didn't know either! What in the world?! Train your staff!

This is a place known for deserts by just about everyone in Augusta. Their cakes and pies are excellent. They also have a full menu which I found very good. The place is located in historic downtown Augusta which is in the process of being revitalized, structure-wise...but the food is still excellent.

I have been here before and the food and service have been great. This time not so much. Food was mediocre at best. It was busy, so had to sit.at the bar. Service was not great even though several servers were just standing around and talking. The chicken salad has a lot of pickles infused in it and overwhelmed the taste.

This is a cute place close to the riverfront with great service. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were delicious and I loved the dipping sauce. Then I got the Boll Weevil salad and my partner got the jerk chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good and so was the pasta salad, but the boll weevil salad ingredients didn't all mesh together. It tasted like the ingredients could have created two separate salads. The cornbread it came with was delicious though. We did also get cake and pie to go which were absolutely amazing and I would definitely return for more desserts.

Had lunch today at this downtown restaurant. It was very good. Seated quickly, nice server, delicious food (especially the soups and desserts). The building has been in the family for four generations. Near the River and across from the Marriott. Would absolutely go eat there again… or at least grab some cake to go!!

We were going to a show at the Bell Auditorium but needed something to eat first. We chose Bo Weevil and now can't wait to go their again whenever we are in Augusta. I had a great chicken salad salad and my wife had the chili. She was more focused on trying a dessert. The red velvet cake was huge. I had the key lime pie and it was large as well. Wow what great food. Love the atmosphere too with the history of the building and area.

My turkey soup was awesome, service staff was very friendly & attentive and I adore the canary lemon cake. I would have given them 5 stars but unfortunately the shrimp & grits lacked in flavor. But overall it was a great experience.
