I was really excited to try out this new place. Great atmosphere and location. On their second day, unfortunately, they were still having some growing pains and it was a bit disorganized.I waited over an hour after placing my to-go order and had to leave to pick up my child without yet receiving my food. So, my review is only based on the service as I have not yet tasted the food.I will try again another day and edit my review when I have have the TIME to try the food.
My review of this place is based on the service. My husband and I were very excited to visit. We made it a day date. We arrived on the 2nd day of their opening. The atmosphere was fun, great music and colorful space. albeit the space is tight. We placed our order and according to the receipt and the cashier, our wait would be 25 minutes. After waiting an HOUR, we inquired about our food and was not given any specific detail on the delay. I wonder if anyone would have said anything to us, if we didn't inquire. We ended up requesting a refund because we were uncertain of when our order would be ready. We had a child to pick up and I had to return to work. Needless to say, I was furious and very disappointed. We really wanted to try the food. We were not given an apology, explanation, NOTHING! This to me is a big deal, it was handled unprofessionally. I am not sure if I will return again.. Maybe I'll wait it out six months, hopefully by then, they will be organized, well-staffed and more professional.
I went recently with some family to try it out. The food was fantastic, the workers were incredibly helpful in explaining the menu, and I loved the positive and cheerful vibes and music! We will absolutely be going back and recommending the place to others.
Flavorful, fresh food and kind, knowledgeable staff. We will be back!
The food was good. Ordering a potato roti and only getting the dhalpuri…not so much. Their customer service is A1.
I LOVED the food for our family's recent event. The honored couple are vegetarian and we wanted a delicious meal that would be perfect for their nutritional preferences. We were amazed because the entire family (not vegan/vegetarian) devoured the meal! We chose callaloo, pigeon peas, pimento carrot rice, sada roti, potato curry, and fried plantain. Everything was well seasoned! The portions for a family of 10 were perfect! I am grateful the CSRA has this restaurant. My family is looking forward to the grand opening at the end of this month!
