Stayed here for a softball tournament. location was clean rooms were clean and spacious. Would defiantly stay here again if we were to come back to the area. There is a Starbucks at the end of the road as well.
Left immediately after seeing condition of room. Carpet worn, lampshade filled with stains, chair covered in stains. The lobby looks nice but the rooms are in desperate need of renovations. Strange smell throughout hotel as well. Pictures online are not representative of current state.
Today is July 18, 2022 and I am LITERALLY writing this review from the Sheraton on Stevens Creek Road in Augusta. We were here for a family reunion. The lock on my room didn't work...the carpeting is disgustingly dirty, there is NO ICE in the vending machines, the toiletries bottles are empty and the outsides of them are dirty. The shades don't work. The furniture is outdated and filthy! If the furniture isn't new at least let it be clean. The "breakfast" is a joke. There are two very large holes in the parking lot. The phones don't work,...I want to go on and on. After speaking with a member of the staff, I learned that the new owners of the hotel live in California and do not visit or check on this place at all. I learned that the staff is working without pay sometimes, (so I think as a result of that, not much gets done.)The staff did try to be accommodating but this place isn't far from being a glorified dump. The new owners should be ashamed but they won't be because this is all about the money for them. You can tell by the way they treat their guests.
The location was awesome. This spot is central to/for everything Augusta. My only disappointment, no breakfast. Otherwise no complaints. The staff is courteous and eager to help. Make sure you give permission to clean your room (covid protocol). My stay was nice, just hanging out. As I stated this hotel is a stone's throw from restaurants, bars, and just about everything else. If you are visiting depending upon your time of the year beware of the heat, triple digit days. But a nice dip in the pool will take care of that. Get out and explore. Augusta is waiting.
We live in town but wanted a weekend away from the teenagers that rule my house. The room was clean and in order, the staff was friendly. There is wear and tear in the building that should be addressed but I understand that it's not supposed to be a five star resort. My only real gripes with my stay was that the hot tub was out of order and the club lounge was only stocked with bottled water. They had two oranges in a bowl and a tea/coffee area. No snacks or extra beverages. I travel a lot for my job and stay almost exclusively at Marriott hotels. I have titanium elite status with them and expect great service. This is the most empty club lounge I've ever seen and I traveled doing government work durttbe height of COVID. I'm kinda unhappy about the stay really and wish it had been different.
Was excited to spend the night in Augusta after attending a family function but that was short lived once we checked and made our way to our room. The room was very dirty. Carpet was filthy, walls were dirty, and everything in the room was covered in dust. There was no water in the room. Ice machine was broken. So disappointed considering the price. A remodel is severely over due. Just plain disgusting.
Buyer Beware - gross hotel. Gross carpet. . . gross things dripping down the wall. hasn't been remodeled in ages. Furniture upholstery old and worn and filthy. Wish I could give 0 stars.
I have enjoyed this hotel for many years, however now it is starting to show its age. This location can use a good cleaning including removing mold for shower tiles and shampooing the carpet. The carpet in front of the elevator on our floor was sticky as well as the carpet in my room. An exit door near the conference rooms was locked or broken which felt like a fire hazard/code violation. The door showed that our key card was working but the door would not push or pull open from either direction. The pool hours on the website states 6am-11pm Monday to Sunday but an employee tells me while I am in the pool that they close early on weekends at 9pm. My key gave me access to the pool and pool hours are not posted in the pool area. For a Marriott Sheraton brand, I am expecting more for the price point. The other amenities offered by this location were great such as the fitness room over looking the pool area and the lobby with restaurant. The restaurant has great service.
Enjoyed the indoor pool. And the rooms were comfortable and enjoyable! Will definitely be back.
Stayed here during the Masters and the renovation is about six years late. I wish I could say it was okay, but it was not! Old, grungy hotel that should not be in your potentials in Augusta. Newer Hilton Garden share a parking lot and was much cleaner.
