Best BBQ in the state of GA! Great smoked meats, proper hash and rice, a folksy log cabin interior, and the best BBQ sauce I've ever had, bar none. Seriously, this sauce should be sold in stores. Not to mention the prestige of serving the white house. Where else will you find generational excellence in low 'n slow smoking. I drive 2 hours to get here, excitedly. Make it a point to stop here, this is worth the drive.
Wanted to try some BBQ food and this place got super good reviews. I got the plantation platter and a brisket plate to try a little of all that they had and the only thing I enjoyed was the chicken. Every thing else I would not order again. The hash was very interesting as well and I’m still not sure what that combo is. The place is super cute and service was good.
After seeing all the commercials and signs we gave this place a try . We had high expectations, we were not impressed. We ate ribs and brisket, the only sides are hash and rice or potato salad or coleslaw. We are not fans of hash so we both had cole slaw. Folks, it just was not good. The meats were only warm on both our plates. The coleslaw was not mayo slaw or vinegar but somewhere in between. There are no other side choices and they served us bread from like store bough sandwich bread. Not impressed. Our lunch for two and we both drank ice water was almost $50.00 and we left hungry… don’t waste your time or money …

A great restaurant! The hash isn't as good as the mustard base hash in South Carolina. The turkey was delicious, the ground brisket wasn't very good. But they're very friendly and efficient.
hate to say it but the worst bbq ive had, atleast the brisket. The cuts were thick and the meat was cold. It tasted like it was microwaved and was extremely chewy, almost like eating heart. The sides are only, “hash and rice” the texture was watered down sloppy joe on top of rice and cole slaw. They also have potato salad. I would recommend Willie’s BBQ instead. The area is very nice though with a pond. Hate leaving bad reviews but I was really excited for this place, :(
The beef brisket had 0 taste. It was beyond bland. The hash and rice should be called hash. There was maybe 10 pieces of rice in a double order!! The property is absolutely adorable and is the reason I gave it a 2 star rating. I have eaten here in the past and it was fabulous. Such a major disappointment on this visit
Their house specialty is a plate called the “plantation platter” and yikes. Not a good vibe. Food was bland and the hash was not good (and is most of your plate) and there’s no normal bbq sides. Only coleslaw and potato salad and bread (with no butter). Definitely will not be back.
I love this restaurant. It looks like a house made with logs. It had a stream of water in the front with fish in it. It had a good atmosphere inside. The waitress was very nice. The food was really good. I had the T-lion with a mound of rice and hash. I also had slaw. My wife had the chicken with potato salad, rice and hash. I recommend this place to anyone.
Great service, not sure what the hype is over the bbq. Our brisket tasted like over cooked roast beef. The hash was watery, and lacking in flavor. My grandson loved the ribs. So you may want to stick to the ribs ?
