I’m an Augusta native and this is my first time ordering here EVER. I ordered through DoorDash and I can say that I’m really disappointed…People in Augusta really hype this place up and their always busy with long lines, but it’s REALLY overrated. The chicken teriyaki just tasted bland and I did NOT like the teriyaki sauce at all. It tasted bland but sweet, like it was missing that “flavor” that teriyaki sauce should have. I’ve honestly tasted better at other places…. The only thing fulfilling was the white rice and the veggie spring rolls. Although, I would come back just because I want to try the California rolls and lo mein noodles. Hopefully that would be better.
One of the best Japanese food spots out there. This is located in the food court inside the mall. There's always a long line but you can order online to skip the line
Usually enjoy food from here , but yesterday I decided to travel to Augusta and get a plate from here , got all the way back home just to find several strands of hair in our food . The photo below is my bf holding the hair with the pieces of food still on it . THAT WAS JUST ONE strand . And on top of that when I tried to call to share my concerns to get my money back and not even to get the money back but to let them KNOW THIS is by far the most disgusting experience, no calls go through ! With pandemic still going on and all you think restaurants would take their health and the customers health serious !!!
The food is awesome.. just what I wanted I gave 4 stars only because I asked for white sauce n thru gave me teriyaki.. other than that everything is good
Food is alright. I’m disappointed and annoyed though. I placed an order through the app and the app doesn’t have a way for you to ask for more dipping sauces or let them know if you have an allergy. I ordered a bento box which come with California sushi rolls but I can’t eat crab. I tried calling 5 times before my order was ready to see if I could get their chicken teriyaki sushi instead. When I got there, I told her I couldn’t eat crab and asked if I could get the other sushi instead. She told me they can’t switch anything out of the bento box. I think that’s a bit ridiculous especially when it comes to peoples’ allergies. So now I’m paying for a meal that is fully prepared and wasn’t compensated for the difference.
I’m not sure if they’re under new management or what. The white sauce recipe has obviously changed because the new sauce has no taste nothing like the old kind. PLEASEEEEE CHANGE IT BACK ASAP !!!
This restaurant isn't what it used to be! The plates are smaller, food portions are ridiculous and the taste isn't the same. I've contacted their customer service department, via email, and they never responded.
Closed early the last 3 times I visited. The last time was waiting in line when the lady screamed no more orders with 4 people in line. Customer service is not what it used to be. I'm done with Sarku
After my last joyful experience with the food from Sarku Japan, I figured I try it here. I was not disappointed. The food here tasted great, as well, and additionally had a larger menu with the Bento boxes, than what I remembered from the other location in Vegas, Nellis AFB. The Chicken bento with fried noodles I had tasted great. I loved the organization of the dish, it was very filling, and their teriyaki sauce never fails to satisfy my tastebuds. The sushi and salad was also good, but the dumplings were so-so. It kinda tasted bland. The other downside is the long line up as it is in the mall cafeteria, but it usually doesn't last long. We visited here at around 6PM on the weekend, and the wait time was only 10 to 15 minutes. The employees there were all busy, but still remained courteous, attentive and are very receptive to the customers - the man who served the food always asked if the customer wanted more sauce (heck yes!) before giving out the meal. They also have chopsticks to if you ask for it. Overall, it was a good experience from buying to receiving the meal. Their price for the meals is very affordable. I recommend this Sarku Japan branch to anyone who wants to taste some of the best Teriyaki chicken, or at least any meals with their teriyaki sauce!
Order no where near right at all.
