Felt rushed, too busy of a spot to get the down home family country feel or whatever I expected. Definitely felt cramped. The food was mediocre at best, everything seemed over done. Burned. See our waitress maybe 4x. Drinks, food, refill x2. Not bad while busy. But I had this place years ago and loved it. Wanted to share with my mom but we weren't very enthused.
It was... OK. My son said his pancakes were delicious. The hash browns that I had asked to be cooked "crispy" were still pretty soft. I ordered the meat lovers omelet. I would have expected the meat to be chopped up more and blended in, but it was essentially scrambled eggs with large chunks of ham, broken up sausage patty and mostly in tact bacon strips. And I'm pretty sure the cheese was just a slice of American cheese tossed in. My wife's "home fries" were something resembling really thick crinkle cut potato chips. And I'd guess the oil used to fry them and my daughter's chicken strips was a little overdue for changing/cleaning. It still tasted OK, but was definitely a little disappointing.
Ruth's is an average restaurants. It's a fair priced place to eat a decent meal, but it's nothing fancy. My omelet tasted really good, but the hash browns and home style left a bit to be desired. They had no taste, but a little salt redeemed them somewhat. The grits, according to my wife, tasted ok, but they were cold. The server was quick and friendly.
I love the Valentine’s Day red pancakes, pork chops and the variety of side items. Strong tasty coke. Quick order taking and seating. Food is ready fast. Enjoyable experience every time I visit
Excellent dining experience at Ruth's! You seat yourself, the menu has something for everyone. I ordered a barbecue pulled pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw and enjoyed a sandwich which was excellent in every way. It tasted good, there was ample pork on it and the barbecue sauce was tasty! I can't find any fault with the customer service or the atmosphere in this establishment! I recommend everyone try this old fashioned restaurant !
This was a fantastic dining experience! All, and I mean all the servers stopped and talk to me, at least once. The food was great! Even the lady checking everyone out at the counter was a delight. A true local treasure. You would be doing yourself a great injustice if you don't eat here at least once. Tremendous experience! ???
First timers, traveling through to Charleston. Left with a happy tummy, and a happy soul. Goodness on all accounts is served here. Good ole’ southern home cooked breakfast done well. Service was excellent and amazingly fast. Got a couple of blackberry cobblers for down the road. Already thinking we need to return to Ruth’s on the way back from Charleston.
Can I please stop getting the same thing every time?? They have the BEST catfish and grits!!! The catfish is always perfectly seasoned and so tender and juicy on the inside, while crispy on the outside. The servers are always super sweet, too. I think I will go again for the same thing in the morning!
The good is always hot and fresh, and the ingredients are always fresh and cooked to order. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and airways recognize regulars. Perfect for breakfast & lunch/brunch! I highly recommend this place for either!
Best breakfast in the CSRA!! Looking for a family environment, with home cooked food and great prices? This is it! I take my kids here atleast a few times a month and we love it. I've never had biscuits and gravy so good. Everyone is so friendly, and we love the bus boys. They are so thoughtful! We're moving out of state soon and I hate to be leaving this place. We love RUTHS ❤️
