I came here with my classmates just for the shrimp and grits and they were good and different. These grits were airy and the shrimp were cooked just right. It also came with a biscuit that paired well with everything to include bacon bits. The dishes in the pictures you will see in the picture are shrimp & grits, chicken pot pie, chicken club sandwich, and a half order of chicken & waffles.
Cute little spot. I enjoyed my bissell breakfast. My husband said his bowl was fine but his steak was overcooked. Overall we enjoyed!
Get the Grapefruit Mimosa.. it has a fresh taste
Would not recommend for dinner. None of our food was good. Chicken pot pie had a tough, hard crust and dry ingredients. Waffles and chicken, chicken was fried to death. Waitresses was very nice though.

A really excellent American style diner. The eggs there a better than almost anywhere else we have been. They also have a full fine lunch and dinner menu with exccellent home made soups and some typical Southern unique dishes, such as fried chicken over waffles. Their server staff is also excellent and goes out of their way to please. We have been regulars there for a long time.
Just drive by on the trip home from South Carolina. So glad I stopped in. The service was top notch and the yummy was so very good. Definitely 5 out 5 stars. I hate that I am not a local ?oh and the pink Mamosa❤️
Great food and great waitress
Looked up “cute breakfast Augusta, Ga.” And Metro Diner was the 1st thing that came up. Although it did not match what I was looking for (aesthetically) read the reviews and knew I had to check it out. My daughter had THE BISSELL BREAKFAST & I had SAN FRANCISCO BENEDICT. Glad we came in because the food was amazing! No complaints from me nor my daughter. You know this place is good when people come in as they go…they stay busy and for a good reason. I can actually say that they have a new patron and I can’t wait to go again and try something new on the menu!!!
you MUST TRY THIS PLACE. I passed by it for the longest time and finally decided to give it a shot. The chicken and waffles are sooo yummy!! it’s such a big portion and well worth the money. The biscuit sausage and gravy are super good too, but the biscuits do have a battery taste. I think part of our 5 star visit was because of our lovely waitress, can’t remember her name, but she was expecting and gave us excellent service! will be back for sure!!
