My experience my good. We was greeted at the front door and seated under 2 minutes. The server was very informative about the specials going on and did great customer service. The only bad thing I would say about this visit was the wait time of our food. It was over 45 minutes, but the server kept checking to see what's going on with our food. I didn't make a scene because I understand the feeling of being a server.
Well, did not start out well as i had to ask for a cleaning towel to wipe down the area that we sat at. (The bar) then waited 13 min to be waited on (it was NOT busy, only 8 people at the after we sat down) it took what seemed like a life time to get any sort of service. We almost left. The bartender was nice, just very slow & didn’t seem to give a rip. The kitchen staff did their job, the food was good. The whole experience took an hour more then it should have. I keep looking over my shoulder to see if this was a filmed episode of bar rescue.
We have eaten here many times, being Augusta natives and found that they do a great job on fried shrimp, fish and chips as well as barbequed ribs. Prices are not exorbitant and the meals are worth the cost. Their "pub burger" is excellent.
Carolina Ale House used to be one of my favorite places to eat but lately has been such a miss. We should have taken it as a sign that we were able to be seated right away at 6pm on a Friday night. They have a whole section of plant based options but only ever have one item from the four or five items listed. Every time we go, the waitresses have different answers to questions we ask. I was half way finished with my meal before my husband’s meal came out. The food and service has gone a bit downhill unfortunately. Definitely a to-go situation going forward.
So if you do not like your meal they do not switch it out. I sampled 3 bites of my meatloaf and the manager refused to take it off the tab or switch it out. she said I ate but it was still on the plate. Mind you the serving size was small. ?
I have never gotten anything that I did not like! The staff has always been great. & the outside bartender makes a wicked martini ?
we came in yesterday for my daughter's birthday and had the worst service. We asked for napkins 5 times, didn't get them until we had finished eating. Our food got cold waiting for silverware. The $25 Ribeye had no taste. Both of my grandsons said their spaghetti was nasty. Had to send cheese fries back because they were cold, and much more. all this was after waiting 45 minutes for a table
We were a party of 4 Sunday 2-13-22 at the Augusta Store. Our server was "D", do not want her full name here.2 of us ordered Chili as an appetizer, it was almost 20min. even after asking twice. My ribs were excellent, and the sandwiches were not great, but okay. The garlic mashed red potato of which 3 ordered were NOT so, in my opinion all were instant – much like putty – NO garlic, and no red skin – instant for sure. NO ONE ate theirs. When I received my order there were Fries, had to ask again for the mashed of which were honestly disgusting. The server, as we were asking to please change the item, and we ordered a few more items, get VERY agitated – she became short worded with us and slightly abrupt. She even gave us our check before asking if we wanted dessert. The serve basically disappeared and had to ask the hostess (a red headed lady) that we needed a dessert list. Then she went and got the server. After we paid with a credit card, and a few got up to go the bathroom, the credit card was on the floor. The was one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had.How can this happen? We eat out every week for years.Flabbergasted guest.
The food and the service are impeccable!! The ribeye is a must try and the bartender Beccah is absolutely amazing. Trust her recommendation, she knows her stuff. Five stars isn't enough.
The food is pretty decent. The ambiance is not bad. I got the fish and chips, and the fish was nice and crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. Not bad fish at all. The tartar sauce tasted like it came from an army kitchen. The french fries were fairly crispy, and had just the right amount of salt.I wouldn't say the server was rude, but she wasn't exactly friendly either. It was kind of business as usual. But I wasn't treated like she was happy I was there.Theathrooms are clean, bbut I could tell one of the toilets had been out of order for quite a while.
