Philly Cheesesteak served just how I remember. The amount of steak is generous. If anything, people might consider there being too much meat, but you ain't eating Philly Cheesesteak if that weren't true. One sandwich filled me up. But if you have room you should try the shake cause they all sounded really good. The restaurant is built in a hut, so no A/C (they have fans inside the building) but you can enjoy the seating area outside or inside. The lady taking my order was nice and considerate.
I have seen this place for literally decades, but somehow had never eaten here. It was never convenient to anywhere I lived, so I guess it was just bad timing vs. meal times... I was working ~ nearby and opted to walk over from the office for lunch. I arrived just after noon on a Tuesday. There were only about 2 people in line ahead of me. It didn't take long to order. The typical drill seemed to be to wait inside at one of the small tables / booths for them to call your name and then pick up the food and eat outside on their covered porch / patio. Prices were good - I think I paid just over $10 for a standard cheese steak and a bag of chips. The sandwich came out HOT so I had to let it cool off a bit before proceeding. I liked it, though I thought it was heavy on the meat and light on the cheese and onions. It was certainly better than any cheese steak I found in 2 years living in Northern California, just for comparison. The place seemed quite popular with construction-type guys, as there were several sets eating there and at least one utility truck parked in the lot. The parking lot is not that big, though you could probably park in other lots nearby briefly. The restaurant is located in an odd sort of triangle at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Monroe Drive. Since I walked there, parking wasn't an issue. From the associated reviews, it appears that they are open really late on the weekends (as in 4 a.m.) if that happens to be important to you.
I went to the Glenwood SE location for the first time. First time visiting this establishment also. My bday is 5/29/75 fun fact there were established in 1975. Delicious chicken cheese steak and seasoned wedges with the oreo super shake which is delicious! Next time I will park behind the building deck patio in the parking lot. My ? phone had me park on a side street. The staff are taking care of business.
Best Cheese Steaks in town but today I ordered 4 and went I got home they were overcooked, dry and not seasoned.Disappointed
Great place and seems like a real institution! I was craving for a good cheese steak so we went there to have a philli cheesesteak and wow they are big and quite famous. You can pick your kind of cheese steak and then also put some sauce or other ingredients on it, I loved it and can just recommend it.

I loved this find! The Cheesesteak and milk shakes were both perfect, and the woody sauce was yummy - a little tangy and delicious on a cheesesteak. The staff here were awesome, so friendly and welcoming. Felt like a local, hole-in-the-wall kind of gem. Definitely would go back!
Small Philly bland flavors and a Uber eats or doordash rip off! This is what a philly with extra cheese and meat looks like? 31 dollars plus dash fees and taxes for this is not worth it
I've lived near Woody's for a very long time and have only recently started to buy their cheese steaks. I've been missing so much! This place is an Atlanta landmark and makes great cheese steaks and shakes. I'll definitely be going here more often whether my doctor likes it or not.
