Stopped by to get smoked Turkey plate, chicken was delicious, baked beans best I’ve had, corn bread was delicious and fries were hot and not greasy.Docking stars ONLY because They add a 20% service charge so be prepared for a high bill, it’s not a sit down restaurant where you have waiters, just a BBQ spot. They didn’t even offer silverware. When asked, they said “it’s inside” so you have to get it yourself. What is the 20% device charge for exactly? The food is great but what’s the service exactly?

THIS IS THE BEST BBQ I’VE EVER TASTED AND I’M FROM TEXAS!!!! SPECTACULAR‼️❤️?

Cool looking place. Upon ordering I was alerted that there is a mandatory 20% service charge for all orders. (For large parties that may make sense). For one person I’m forced to pay an additional $5 for my order?? Guys that’s ridiculous. I’ve never head of that I’m all my years of eating at BBQ restaurants. Just add 20% to every food item guys. Stop adding another tax or making us pay for you not compensating your employees well enough. That’s bad business. I’ll be sure to spread the word to not come to Wood Chapel BBQ.

Overall this was a good visit. It’s very casual and has a fun twist on the menu. Similar to a cafeteria, you order at the counter and then clear your own plates. The potato salad was the best item we tried; it was creamy, tangy, & the perfect amount of potato. The rest of the food was ok. Not as good as I was hoping, but I would be back for a casual meal in the future. From what we heard, the cornbread and salmon are the best items on the menu - I’d recommend trying those, I wish I had!

Highly recommend the ribs. Low key vibes. The sides are amazing - the cream corn and fries were excellent. I had the beans and burnt ends which were also delicious. My wife got the brisket cheese steak. Portions are huge you can easily split.

They automatically charged us 20% on our order and we only had three people. Food came out so quick, it didn’t taste fresh at all. Portions were small for the meat. It was also very under seasoned, but food was somewhat good for a person being really hungry. Just buy the sides.

Summary of multiple visits: high quality food, but make sure to check your takeout bags onsite. They forget things a LOT.Visit #1 Oct21 Brisket and sausage were excellent. We got to-go and they gave us the wrong sides, didn't notice until we were home.Visit #2 Nov21 we got salmon and sausage. GREAT but they forgot the fries in our to-go. Checked it on site and had to wait for new fries.Visit #3 Jan22 we got a cubano and salmon. Checked onsite and they forgot the banana pudding, quickly replaced. Very memorably savory sandwich and the salmon was gone in 2 minutes once we got it home.

We stopped by on a Sunday night for dinner. The service at the counter and our table was great. The food was also delicious, but we were disappointed with the serving sizes and bbq sauce. The ribs and brisket tasted great, but for $18 I expected more meat. I was a big fan of the pork beans and cream corn. My wife enjoyed the pecan pie. I would eat here again, but wouldn’t waste my money on the ‘meat sampler’.

Very cute store front with adequate seating and an outdoor area. We grabbed take out, it was very easy order. I was greeted by the bartender upon entering and waited for my order. The order was brought out promptly with extra sauces and utensils. The food portions were huge. We ordered brisket, pulled pork and the kids pulled pork grilled cheese. The Mac and cheese, creamed corn, beans and potato salad were all amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant!

The staff is nice. Seating is well spaced, with outdoor options. I had the brisket grilled cheese sandwich and it was amazing. My husband ordered the smoked wings and they aren't smoked. He was very disappointed. We would give the place another try.
