Wow! Exceeded my expectations. We stopped by for an early dinner today since we were picking something up in the area. The service was great and everyone was very friendly.I ordered the budae jigae (Korean army stew), which came with a ton of things. It was brought to a boil in front of us and the server was kind enough to cut things up and plate it for us. This kimchi stew included spam, rice cakes, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, mandu, dumplings, tofu, ramen and more. It is meant to feed 2-4 people and the portion was absolutely huge! The spice level was perfect and broth was well seasoned but not too salty. My sister ordered galbi tang, which is a rib bone stew that came with clear noodles, tender meat, eggs and scallions. This was so light and delicious - my sister ate the whole thing! I highly highly recommend getting this dish. The food also came with complimentary banchan (small side dishes) like string beans, kimchi, potatoes, fish cakes, bean sprouts and more.I can’t wait to return to try their bibimbap and kimchi stew.
Nothing short of fantastic! Every dish reminded me of Pusan, ROK. They do not "Americanize" the menu. The meals are not precooked. They cook them as you order. You can also bring your own wine ($10 corking fee).
This is the best authentic Korean food in town, period, full stop. The dishes never fail to impress me with the bold flavors and I close my eyes and literally savor every bite. The owner is kind and thoughtful with her food. It is on the more expensive side but we’ll worth it. Lunch is always good if you want a deal tho. Don’t miss out on this absolute staple.
I was introduced to this place from Eater vlogger Matthew Kang and was a bit skeptical because his other picks were questionable. But my family and I found that Woonamjeong is the real deal. The food, from the banchan to the entree is seasoned with nostalgia and care, and there is depthness to every bite. You can tell the banchan was curated and flavored for an authentic Korean palate and every bite is consumed with homemade flavor. The soondubu has a deep flavor, probably from the mushroom that infused the umami flavor. The specialty of the house is their hot stone rice bowls that coats each bite in the sizzling crust. Every bite from this restaurant brings home memories of my grandmother's cooking. Be patient with the service, flavors this good need to be savoured.
My favorite place for spicy seafood stew - SO GOOD! When we were there, they had only two people running the whole restaurant and they did a great job serving everyone. The restaurant was packed, so plan accordingly or you'll have to wait a bit for a table.
Awesome, authentic Korean restaurant! Grandma’s receipt are legit, and takes me back to S. Korea!Their tea, their Kimchi Stew and Kimchi BiBimBap is on point! Banchans are great, with 5 refills without additional charge!Service is great, the team is very friendly (not sure why other reviews are stating otherwise regarding service).
Best Korean food I've ever had. Get the kalbi chim, which serves two people or more. You cannot do better in Georgia.
Yes! Yes! Yassss! I love this place! This place makes me feel like I'm eating at mom's, the grandma cooking, home cooking. It's very authentic and the side dishes are so delicious!
Amazing! We'll be back! Loved the Dolsot Bulgogi!
Great authentic Korean food.
