I went to this place with high hopes of satisfying my sweet tooth after I had dinner in the same shopping complex. Let's just say I wasn't totally satisfied. I ordered the red velvet cake/cheesecake mix. When I bit into the cakey part I was taken aback because it tasted stale and wasn't moist at all. When I tried the cheesecake portion of the cake I was fully satisfied because it was creamy and sweet, just what I wanted. I will say that I did order the last slice on a Saturday at 3pm so maybe it was sitting out for a while. Nevertheless it shouldn't taste stale. It could of just been "one of those days" so I will give this establishment the benefit of the doubt and try it again because the customer service was friendly.
This place is not Sweet Hut bakery level bubble tea. The regular teas are lackluster. The milk teas are not worth the $6 they charge for medium drinks, 2/3 of it is cheapened by ice. ?Atmosphere and customer service are the only areas they shine, even then it's nothing worth another visit?. If you need a bite or even a soda, just go nextdoor to Mediterranean Grill. ??
I had a Duncan Special. It was simply great. Although I waited quite a bit to get it, the looks and the taste were worth it. Some ice cream ingredients are frozen after you order, so it is fresh but also take a little bit more time then your traditional ice cream vendor.
***DISCLAIMER: This review is purely for informational purposes for the owner of the establishment and is not intended for the employees I encountered during my visit on March 5, 2022.***When you rent a space at one of the intersections with the most foot traffic in the entire city, in one of the biggest cities in the U.S., and it's a Saturday, and it's nearly spring and the weather is fabulous, and we're all coming off COVID, and there's an event in the high-school stadium and a big party across the street in the city's biggest park, Piedmont, you've got some fairly unique twists on desserts and some terrific coffee at reasonable prices given all of the above, I would imagine as a business owner that you would want to make sure you have the resources in place to deliver. By resources, I mean employees. Well, during my visit, there was literally one person running the entire operation when I arrived, and when I was served 40 minutes later, there were only two. I actually saw more people turn around and leave before making a purchase—both in front of me and behind me—than those who actually made a purchase. As a business owner myself, I couldn't believe my eyes...
We went for boba tea which was delicious as always! We had some dietary restrictions and the ladies were very helpful in guiding our decisions. We’ll be back for more treats in the future!
Tora bubble tea was AMAZING! There was one employee and she was very kind. They have so many yummy options to choose from with good prices- definitely recommend to anyone craving something sweet.
The ice cream is good, but the store was strangely closed at 7:30 PM on a Friday evening. The sign says it closes at 8, so I'm not really sure what's going on with that. Hopefully it's just a one-time thing.
Awesome!! I enjoyed the rolled ice cream. The kids portion is perfect for my littles and I was happy to have a vegan option. Highly recommend. Planning to go back to try the bubble tea.
Great ice cream and teas and all made to order. Huge selection of options. Staff is very friendly and meticulous in preparing orders to individuals specifications.
