Great place for brunch and drinks!
So my friend and I decided to grab some brunch after church and found west egg cafe. The main con was the long wait but they do have space outside to sit and wait. Once we were sat they were out of mimosa but we had a great server who recommended their other drinks which was good. The food was definitely good and I probably would come back but not on a Sunday afternoon due to the long wait but I would say it was worth it. We ordered the banana bread French toast and biscuits and gravy
Food was excellent- we had waffles - crab Benedict - shrimp & grits - speciality coffees and a strawberry/pineapple mimosa- the fresh berries on the waffles were great and excellent local honey
Service was good and food was OK but was completely bland. I ordered an omelette and potatoes and both lacked basic seasoning such as salt!The biscuit was nice but I felt it was too soft.The coffee was good.
My friend and I are from Tampa and came up to spend Spring Break in Atlanta. While we were here a friend recommended we get breakfast at West Egg. This place did not disappoint. Everything inside from the decor, friendly staff and awesome menu to choose from was more than we expected. I ordered the chicken chilaquiles and O M G! This stuff was the bomb.com! So much flavor! My friend got the fried chicken hash and said it was amazing as well! If you’re ever in the area and looking for a great breakfast place to check out—GO TO WEST EGG!!! We also loved that the manager came out and asked us how our meal was; what a great personal touch to our experience and he even gave us a fist bump! ?? We will definitely be back to have breakfast here if we’re in the area again!
Food is excellentService is a bit lackluster but patience is worth the food.Not pricy but it adds up easily here I don't particularly like that with breakfast food but the ingredients and fresh bread, the display and huge portions explains it all. Go with a friend and share it's filling and fun to share here!!! Enjoyable eats! Bright dining!! The coffee gets thumbs down but have a bar drink.
I had the French toast and omelette and potatoes. The server was great. I wish I remembered their name. I accidentally ordered a Bloody Mary and he was friendly about swap it out for a different drink. I would recommend it and plan to go back. My friend ordered the breakfast bowl. I can’t wait to try that next time.
I wish I could give a 3.5 star rating but google doesn't allow that. The coffee was great. The classic latte was smoothe and the milky way latte (mocha and caramel) had a good balance. However, the food was not too special. We had an omelet and fried chicken hash. Compared to the price, there were too many potatoes compared to the meal portion. It was a busy Saturday morning but the waiting was too bad.
