Great oysters ? we come here every chance we get. Everything is delicious ?
Had fried octopus and several types of oysters. Fresh, delicious and best part was the service. Alex was helping us at the bar and gave us recommendations of oysters based on our palate. The oysters tasted great, but his mannerisms and service were more outstanding. Dare I say the perfect lunch?! My poké bowl was really nice but the oysters were the real star. The strawberry lime seltzer was also delicious and refreshing. Can’t wait to come back!
Wife and I stopped here before a concert for dinner. Ordered a dozen oysters that were recommended by the server from somewhere far away. While the oysters tasted fine, they were tiny! Oysters must be 3" to harvest on the gulf coast and these much smaller than that. The actual oyster was about 1-1.5" long. You could fit 4 on one saltine easily. When you are paying $3+ per oyster, they should be big enough to taste. At least inform customers when you are selling oysters this small before ordering - we felt we had been robbed after eating here.Just to make matters worse, the service was horrible. Had to flag down someone if you needed something.We were very disappointed in the dining experience.
So glad I finally got a chance to come here and so happy I did. The po boy is nothing special ingredients while it’s so fresh and good, both the fried and blackened . Need to come back to do the fresh oyster bar
Fresh east coast oysters and poke bowl. Fast service and nice space that doesn’t feel as cluttered as some other places at the market. Would come back to enjoy more seafood here.
Warning!! This place would fail a food inspection! The cook literally blew his nose using his hand with snot on it and continued to handle food. Didn’t wash his hands!!! Also didn’t wear his mask. Absolutely disgusting!!! I notified the cashier but in case you are trying to go the cook is not sanitary and plainly disgusting! Another cook was playing with her phone with the food gloves on in between cooking no hand washing again. Like where is the sanitation at this place?!! Never going back!!
Hung out with Salya at the oyster bar while he shucked some of the best oysters I’ve ever eaten, the sauces they paired with oysters were great. Will be back.
Food was well prepared and as ordered. Very small selection of oysters, but seemed fresh.We sat at the counter and the service was spotty to non-existing. Also the timing of the food was way off. I ordered a cod sandwich that came within 10 minutes. My wife's order of a clam strip po-boy (placed at the same time) took 30 minutes. The excuse was they had to fry the clam strips, but my cod was fried also (I saw them drop it in the fryer). Then when they finally brought the po-boy they slapped it down and took off before we could ask for hot sauce or utensils. Extremely amateur service and timing. Not what I'd expect from a Star Provisions sponsored restaurant.Would not recommend.
We have been here several times and the food is always perfection…… the workers are amazing as well
