This has become our go to comfort spot and for mean Manhattans. The food is simple but well crafted with slight hints of surprise, but no nonsense like truffles and squash blossoms. Paella and Seafood Sauté are my favorites as well as the fried chicken. They make a mean Manhattan and Old Fashion. Make sure you order the one on the bottom of the menu because look at my photo and you basically get a twofer.
The service and food was really good.
Located in a very nice neighborhood, surrounded by leisurely outdoor dining. This place makes you want to stay a while. The meal of salmon with yellow rice and vegetables was excellent. The full bar is located next door. 4 stars because the service was a bit slow.

Atmosphere was very good and food was awesome. Matthew was our waiter and he started out great. Don't know what happened, but it took a turn. Now the checks come and he gets mine incorrect, not once, but twice, then asks if he could get my card and run it and then bring the check!! No sir, check first, then card. When Matthew returned with my check, I looked at it and gave him the check and my card, he snatched it out of my hand. I requested the manager, he came over and said he would talk to Matthew. Matthew returned and would not own what he did, instead said "we are just so busy" I paid my check and left. Called to speak to the GM today and his response, "we don't require our employees to apologize and you don't have to come back" Well, thank you sir for the information. I used to eat at this place often. Unfortunately they misled me into believing that I would get a free meal based on the fact that they messed up my meal. I happened to get the owner on the phone and because someone forgot to put my name on a list I was no longer afforded the meal that was promised to me. She stated that the hostess was just a hostess, therefore she did not have any rights to make that promise to me, even though the hostess had spoken with the manager at the time. I have no reason to beg for a free meal as that is what I was told and being that I'm also a business owner I understand how important it is to forge and keep good relationships with our customers. This could have been a teaching or learning experience between her and her employee and she could have kept my business. Instead, she chose not to honor what i was told. It may be best that some owners stick to owning and allow their employees to handle the customer service.
The food was amazing in quality. You can tell there is a little love put in the food. The drinks seemed to be interesting on the menu, but not so much in reality. I look forward to coming back and trying the bar side to get recommendations as that is how I was introduced to the bar, was by another friend who talked about bartender knowledge. I look forward to trying the fresh Trout when I come back. The tomatoes tower was amazing. There was salmon with broccoli and mac and cheese; it was superb.
We came for my little brother's birthday I didn't know what to expect or anything about the restaurant. It was a cool and casual bar environment with simple straight forward food! We were a large party, but our server took good care of us. If love to return and sit at the bar. Delicious!
Some teammates and I stopped by after practice one Wednesday night. I had heard that this was a good place. We had a party of 9 and it was no problem getting a table. There was another large party as well.We tried the fried mac & cheese fritters, fried calamari, and bourbon shrimp. All three were very tasty. I had the fried chicken dinner. The collard greens and mac & cheese were both good. A friend let me try some of his baby back ribs. They were amazing, a little spicy.As far as drinks, I had a margarita. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but definitely not the worse. I also tried the raspberry lemonade. The flavor hides the liquor tastes very well.The parking is somewhat limited in the area, but not impossible. I really look forward to going again.
My first time here and it was all they said it would be!! Everything was fresh and so good. We were the last to order brunch and the food was still wonderful! Will definitely be returning!Update..YES, this is still the best place for brunch! Hands down!!
