Terrible. I had placed an order online and was notified it was ready around 1:10pm. I go in around 1:15pm to see if it's ready but the cashier says its not. I wait a few more minutes because it looked like it was sitting ready on the counter. So I asked again, she checks and hands me the smoothie (which was already ready) but says they are still waiting on the sandwich. I wait 30 more minutes and ask again because multiple people that came in after me had came and went. I hear them mention my name from behind the counter because I'm sure it was the only one that had been sitting there. It sounded like they remade my sandwich , then handed I to me saying sorry for the wait?! Will not be back.
I ordered a chicken caprese and a chicken pesto with jalapeño corn. This is what I got!!! They just put some chicken and lettuce in chicken pesto and chicken and mozzarella in chicken capers. The corn wasn’t even a full cup. I paid a total of 16.96 plus tip 2.50 tip. Since they were closing, I requested a refund. Very arrogant attitude of the lady that works there. Not apologetic, rather back answering saying me you shouldn’t have tipped. And then keeps the order on table saying I can’t keep it, so you can throw it. And since their card machine wasn’t working she hands me 16 $ with an attitude saying we don’t have change so there you go. The worse is the attitude in all of this. I have always been a big fan of the food and drink of this brand. But with such management, in no time, the reputation will be ruined because of this particular outlet.
I’ve been to this tropical smoothie multiple times, and every single time it’s been a bad experience. So I will make sure to go to a different location next time. Staff is careless and rude they take forever and don’t care how they make your food or your smoothie. I got a smoothie and they didn’t let me know they ran out of a certain ingredient, and put something else instead without letting me know. When you’re substituting something you let people know because there is people allergic to certain things. After I let them know that I did not want the smoothie because it wasn’t how it’s supposed to be they made my wrap without the right things inside and didn’t even cut it and it was messy and soggy and disgusting all because I didn’t like what they had made incorrectly because I get it all the time and know how it is. Where is the manager at this store and why is all the staff horrible ? If you don’t like your job don’t work there.
Today I stopped by tropical smoothie by spring street after my morning workout. I have to say the customer experience is one I will always remember. Latrie was the employee that assisted me. She was very pleasant, welcomed me with a smile, and understood my complicated smoothie request. The smoothie was perfect and she really made me feel like a valued customer. I’ll be back to this location for sure. Awesome job latrie
Just patiently waited 30 minutes for my wrap, which turned out to just be sitting, ready on the back counter. When I told the employee I was waiting on a sandwich and how long I had waited, she just handed me the bag and walked away, nothing to say. To top it off, the wrap is full of UNCOOKED rice- literally crunching in my teeth. Not edible. The kitchen floors were filthy also. Thankfully the friendly owner was actively interviewing someone while I was there. I hope she can find better help in this tough job market.
I honestly should have read these reviews first..I ordered a smoothie online but knew I wouldn't be there in time. So, I called to tell them the situation and asked if I could call back when I was closer. The employee said it was fine but I called back and I got a message that my phone number was blocked. I tried again and, again got a message that my phone number was blocked? I was nothing but pleasant on the phone in the first place so it was really weird and unnecessary.Legit would never recommend.Management reached out a week later for a refund, which I appreciate.
Stood right next to the register for 10 minutes before anyone said anything to me. 4-5 people working there and not one of them said anything. I locked eyes with one woman 2-3 times and not a single word or anyone coming up to the register. Then after 10 minutes, a kid looked about 14 years old came and took my order and gave me back incorrect change at my expense. Said “we don’t have change”. I noted to him that it was at my expense and he smiled at me. It’s funny in a sort of depressing way. I feel bad for the workers because I don’t think they’re likely to be mean people. I don’t know what is broken, but this didn’t feel like being treated with respect.
A young woman by the name of Tasia or Tayasia that works at University House Midtown location with red hair & glasses was very nasty and rude. On January 17,2022 I came in for lunch to order a smoothie. I made a request for a scoop of peanut butter to be added to my smoothie and the woman who was making it at the time informed me that request was not on her ticket.She asked the cashier and instead of her saying she didn’t hear me and trying to resolve the issue Tayasia became very belligerent and nasty. I had no issue paying for it or anything, she didn’t even offer to ring me up for it . I did not deserve that type of experience I will never purchase from this store again with her being employed there.
I love the smoothie I got. But I paid $12 for a wrap with extra chicken and this is was came. So small and spilling out. Luckily doordash refunded me but what the heck.
Kinda slow. I’ve been multiple times and it’s been the same thing every time. None of the employees were wearing masks either. I had a pickup order and it took forever for one of the workers to acknowledge me. Plus I got my beverage before the person that was in front of me; that’s kinda shady.
