Where to begin, … Let me preface my review by saying that my status with Marriott is Titanium Elite and I’m Hilton Diamond at the same time. I travel a lot with work. So I cash in a few points on my way down to Florida with the wife…. And the Westin ATL Airport fit in that schedule due to convenience. Now for the goodies. Cold water shower at 6:30 AM, .. and it wasn’t intentional. It was cold. The front desk clerk that I went to see (in person) had zero knowledge of the water situation but offered to send someone up to my room to check. Ha. Like I don’t know how to turn on the shower properly. Are you kidding me? I stayed calm. How about some urgency to contact “facilities right away” and then promise to call or text me with the status. No, just a “sorry about that. Very Poor service. Then over to the coffee where I had 1 regular coffee in the room and 2 Decafs (who does that?). One of the creamers was out of date by the way. Nice touch. And now for my pillow issue. I really don’t like to complain, … I rarely write hotel reviews, .. but seriously, the feather pillows were so impossible. At 2am, I combined 2 pillows into 1 pillowcase because the feather fluff was just gone. These things don’t last forever. But back to the water situation, … 1 hour after my front desk meeting, the water in the sink is getting warmer so I can shave, … not hot, … but promising. Where’s my contact from the desk? Nice. The door to the bathroom is as thin and “tinny” as a 1970s solid bedroom door. Obviously a cheap replacement when the original door had to be removed. Cheap wood doors like this are loud and also peel (like this one did) at the bottom due to the moisture and use. Are you getting a picture here of the situation? Have I mentioned that the shower dispensers for bath wash and conditioner were completely empty? 1 bar of soap in the room. Good thing the water was cold or that would have been a problem. My advice, …. keep moving down the road or up the road, whichever direction you are heading. The Marriott brand is better than this. Service and quality are suffering in many areas these days, ..but at this Westin, … It’s just gone.
Stayed here on our way out of town before an early flight. This property is dated and badly in need of a refresh. The room was spacious, but wasn't totally clean, and didn't smell good. The parking/valet situation was THE WORST. We waited a really long time for the valet to appear. The valet circle was partially closed due to resurfacing, so we backed out and temporarily parked in a no parking zone, just to get out of the way. The front desk called the valet for us, who finally arrived. We got a valet ticket, paid for valet, and came back down the next morning to find our car right in the no parking zone where we had left it. And again, could not find the valet. Furthermore, IN THE RAIN, instead of retrieving our car and bringing it into the covered area, the valet just handed us the keys and pointed to where we, ourselves, had parked the car the night before. Not happy that I paid $28 for someone else to hold onto my keys for the night. Really probably would have been happier at a Holiday Inn Express or something. This property doesn't live up to the Westin name.
This is a 2 star hotel with makeup on. Firstly booked one room and it smelled of urine. Booked a different room because of this. Upon leaving we realized we left a charger we called the front desk and they said they would get it. Approximately an hour later we come back and the front desk claim they did not see it. Go back to the room to see the house cleaner cleaning the room and he stated he did in fact find the charger and he would bring it to the new room. This never happened. I’m have now been sitting at the front desk for 15 minutes waiting on “someone” to help me. Still have not seen anyone. They clearly stole the charger. The bathrooms are gross. Rust everywhere. Tubs dirty. The drains don’t drain well. The sink pooled with water after being turned on for a few seconds. We had cold water last night that we had to wait to get fixed. The room is so moist the bedding also seems wet. And The people are rude. DO NOT STAY HERE. IT IS DISGUSTING. THIS IS NO LONGER AN UPSCALE HOTEL. Ps. I’m wrote this whole review and I am still waiting for someone.
Sold a room that was not cleaned, clearly the room was used by two people as both beds were a mess, no towels, trash in bathroom and hair in the shower drain. When calling the front desk I was asked if I wanted to come downstairs. No I would like someone to change the sheets and give me towels for the room I paid for, I was told someone would be up to take care of, never happened. Saw an employee changing sheets in other rooms on the 4th floor she said had no towels on her cart but would get me some, again never happened. I do not recommend this hotel as they didn’t clean the room or follow through with taking care of it when they said they would?
Poor room service, we had to put our trash outside of room, remove dirty towels and leave outside of room. Had to go to front desk to pick up clean towels each day. We were given these instructions by the front desk after making a complaint. Room service cleaned some rooms but did not touch our room. Why, I don't know. Also restaurant prices were exhuberant, breakfast buffet was not that great for the price.
The location was great. The staff and the promptness of their service was 5 stars!The atmosphere lacked the level of sophistication and upkeep I'm use to when staying at a Marriott hotel.The carpet was stained and the TV didn't work properly. The pool was cloudy blue. I stayed on the 9th floor and it didn't smell pleasant at all. The windows are super thin and the highway traffic can be clearly heard. The toilet handle was broken and kept getting stuck and not filling up. There was no soap or conditioner in the containers (when I called they brought it right away). The hotel phone only work on speaker and the outlet didn't work so my phone never charged. The door needed to be forced shut or it stayed ajar (huge safety issue).The handicapped front door did not stay open long enough when my mom walked through it closed on her every time.When traveling the attention to detail matters.
The rooms are very nice but the service is not so great. They clean the room after you have stayed 3 days. My thing with this is the prices don’t decrease as there is no service.I asked for towels at 7am and had to again at 12pm. But finally one of the desk clerks made sure I had them. Her name started with a B… can’t remember the rest.Valet is $28 and regular parking is $23 a night. No free parking. I didn’t go down to eat breakfast but it free.No desire to return especially since no room service. The bathroom is kinda small also.

We have stayed at this location many times over the years whenever we travel with family to Orlando. We pick this location because of the location and are accustomed to The Westin having high quality hotels. The quality and standards at this location from the people to the rooms has drastically gone down hill. After driving a long 8 hours, we arrived around 10:30pm and we pulled up front to check in. As soon as I walked out of our vehicle, we were met with an extremely rude valet person who proceeded to interrogate me on why I was there. I told him we did not need valet and proceeded to walk into the lobby or so I thought, that wasn’t good enough, he then asked if I was checking in. I told him yes and I started to walk away only for him to yell to me some profanity and tell me not to have an attitude with him! I was shocked and immediately told him I absolutely was not the one with an attitude! I have never had anyone speak to me in such a way. I reported him upon checkin and nothing was done. The rooms were not clean and worn down. Every person we encountered was cold and like the valet, rude! We will never stay at this location again! Don’t stay here!
I was able to quickly book a room on a night with tons of airline cancellations. The room was small, but met all my needs and was clean. Housekeeping responded fairly quickly when I requested toiletries that were missing. The shuttle runs 24/7, and the drivers are very nice.
