Visiting from Nebraska, Googled BBQ and the Shack came up. It looked authentic and delicious. We were not disappointed. Ribs, salmon, pulled pork sandwich were amazing, not to mention the excellent peach cobbler. The staff and service were friendly and helpful. Would recommend if you are looking for good food with great service! We will definitely eat here again. Maybe sooner rather than later!
Food was incredible! I’ve driven by many times and finally checked it out and was not let down at all. It’s black owned and run with pride, they actually care about their customers. I got the 1/4 lbs bbq brisket sandwich and finally feel I’ve found my bbq spot in the A along with Heirloom. Don’t pass it up, line was small and food was made quick if you’re looking for a solid lunch!
Not the best BBQ in Atlanta.I ordered:2 fried catfish fillets- too salty to eatMed. Rib tips no sauce- good flavor but tough and chewy, ate 1/3 of orderShrimp (garlic)seafood boil extra potato/ corn- small tiny shrimp, watery not seasoned well- didn't eat after a biteMac n cheese- too much pepper over cooked, noodles were mushy, cheese was burnt- didn't eat after a biteFrench fries- fresh but not salted and some were undercookedBaked beans- deliciousPeach cobbler- very good, best thing I had thereKey lime/strawberry cake- tasted like box mix cake, too sweet, didn't eat after a few bitesBBQ Sauce- loved the candy mix sauce!!!The staff was very nice. My friend told me about this place so I had to give it a try. Oh my God, the brisket is to die for. So tender it melts into your mouth. The yams were cooked to perfection; the portions were enough to feed two easily. The customer service was impeccable. It was so good that I wanted to return the next day. I will be going back. P.S. Don't forget the cobbler mouth watering. ?
Great BBQ and great service!!! We ordered ribs chicken and whiting with all the sides. Beat sides were the mac, broccoli, fries and baked beans. Peach cobbler was good too!!! I’ll definitely be back!!!!
Huge portions, food is FRESH and correct. This place is a PROBLEM! New favorite BBQ spot in ATL.
2nd worst bbq I’ve ever had. Nothing was fresh. Cornbread was DRY like a cracker. Rib tips were dry. Fried whole wing was under salted. BBQ sauce also under seasoned. Yams likely came from a can. Potato salad was horrible
HAD THE SALMON, MAC AND CHEESE WITH POTATO SALAD. What can I say ?! ALWAYS A HIT NEVER A MISS!! I look forward to coming back soon.
Good food. I drive trucks, I ordered two meals because good food is hard to get on the road.
