Barf! I dont think ive ever left a review that will be this rough. I cant believe how overpriced they are. The prices are absolutely outrageous. I still wanted to give it a chance esp since i drove here & didnt have time to start searching for a new place to eat. The food was absolutely disgusting. Im not a waffle house fan and ill prefer waffle house all day. Nothing tasty, original, good about the food. The pancakes were so gross. The bacon was also gross. The pitatoes what a waste. And should i reiterate the price on this disgustingness i just tried to eat. Not worth it at all. Never will i enter again. The place was filthy dirty. Walls, windows, floors, just everything was filth. Shame on me for trying after seeing how dirty this place is. Most ppl during covid either upgraded or changed ina good/cleaniness way. And ive never been here but ilk. No care inthe world. Disgusting all around!
To be fair, the food was quite good. Pancakes were slightly above average, and my breakfast here was one for the par.However, almost $20 was spent on breakfast! BREAKFAST! Pancakes & eggs are dirt cheap to make! When setting up a breakfast place in Waffle House city, it has to be significantly above it in quality. In this case, Waffle house is almost the same quality for half the price.You are honestly better off going to Waffle House!
I've been to The Original Pancake House multiple times before covid so today was my first time coming back since. The food has always been good but they have went down with the cleanliness. The windows, floors and ceiling are extremely dirty. It's so dirty to the point that when I was leaving I saw 3 little roaches crawling on the floor. We all know what that means when you see little roaches (a infestation). I wish I would've saw it prior to sitting down and eating because I would've left. I wish I would've took pics but at that point I was ready to go! I will not be returning..
Haven't ate her in 2 years...... let's just say those days are over. Small portions, no homemade syrup, no original butter. The cost was sure more though. The food was just so so. Sausage patties were about the size of a half dollar piece. I'll not be back until they bring back all the old stuff or never again.
This is from a cutting cutting board with black mold. Do you think you want to eat from this kitchen. Brought it to the attention of the manager attention and I was told to mind my on business basically. Then I was taken off the schedule. The cooks are nasty and filthy.
I usually go to the OPH on LaVista and they rock. This place should be closed down. 8 people in party, 2 correct orders, waited an hour for my scrambled eggs and sausage…cold when I got them. Hollandaise sauce was chunky and gelatinous. Staff… pathetic. How is this POS still open. Oh and to top it all off, $10 to park. It was an expensive lesson.
Apple pancake is baked and comes crispy on the edge and soft and half cooked on the middle & it taste good. Vegetable omelette is delicious and very well cooked. Coffee is good.
With tip, I just paid $12 for three miniscule potato pancakes. I ate it all up in 2 minutes. I'll just order hash browns from Waffle House next time totally not worth it. Oh, btw it's cash only. thumbs down.
The inside appearance gives old diner vibes but The food and service is good. Prices are somewhat high in comparison to typical breakfast spots but if you’re like me eggs, bacon and grits must be perfect and they were.
I usually have a solid meal here. But since the new management/ownership, things have gone down. The food hasn't gone down, but the little things HAVE. I always loved the touches that were made to out do the competition, like staff coming in and hand scooping freshly whipped butter. Now, they give you packaged ones. . And the biggest outrage, the coffee sucks and they no longer have the cream servers with heavy cream, half and half is now brought in little plastic cups.. They used to serve Royal Cup. I don't know what God forsaken coffee they have now. Won't be back at this location until they go back to the coffee and creamer they used to. It really sucks that bad.
