The Mongolian beef was special, and the sizzling rice soup had amazing flavor. The lo mein were thinner noodles than I typically like but still had good flavoring. We also got a salmon avocado roll that was uninspiring so maybe stay away from that one. Their bar was both inside and outside with a great atmosphere that's definitely worth the trip.
I remember when this was Houston’s and was one of my favorites to visit. The Orient has transformed this place into a beautiful restaurant. Nice bar and patio. The dining area is in the front and hibachi tables are in the back. That said, it has a nice ambiance. We went here at the end of lunch so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The price is considerably much more expensive than other places especially since the hibachi is typically what you would get elsewhere. The sushi was pretty good.Although it’s a nice place, I don’t think I would go back because for the price, you’re not getting anything you couldn’t get at other high end hibachi locations.
I have driven past The Orient on several occasions and it always seem to be bustling with customers. I am a very long time fan of hibachi Japanese food and I also like sushi and California roll style Japanese food. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and it's like something you would expect to see near the beach in California. The service was impeccable, they made sure that with your permission they timed everything perfectly. The main chef was jovial and positive and colorful and gave us the true Japanese hibachi dining experience that we've all come to know and love. This evening I tried to tiger roll wraps and had the fillet and shrimp and I wasn't disappointed. However the ginger sauce has no Ginger so you might want to bring your own Ginger sauce because you might need it but everything else is great. I highly recommend it and I recommend you go there for a truly wonderful dining experience.
Fantastic spot for Asian inspired cuisine. Japanese hibachi, sushi and Chinese selections all available in a chic, modern setting.
Nice Atmosphere, great customer service and good food.

We had an amazing time at The Orient. We drove by while they were settling in. Then Covid happened and everything closed. We are so glad this place made it through. The food is outstanding. I'm not a raw fish kind of guy but the Maguro Tartare was incredible. As I've said before my wife has Celiac so EVERYTHING has to be Gluten Free. They were able to accommodate her restrictions and it was all delicious. We will definitely come back and already told our neighbors that they have to go.
A lovely, beautiful restaurant. Me and mom were so excited to find a new classy Asian restaurant. Unfortunately the food was a huge disappointment! One of the things I love most about Chinese food are the flavors, there was no flavor or seasonings just a little soy sauce. The chicken, steak, shrimp and lobster were all overcooked and extremely dry. A $100 for two people, you can go anywhere in Atlanta and have a much better meal and experience!
