The first couple of visits here were very pleasant; however, upon several return trips, I have to say that I will likely not be coming back. The margaritas are actually really good, but the food has consistently been the downfall (with the exception of the chori queso). The steak in my fajitas have been crunchy and burnt over the course of a few visits across several months. I could maybe understand having a bad meal once or twice over a week or two as a new chef is acclimating, but 5 months is too much. I really wanted to like this place, but unless I am convinced that the food has improved, I am unlikely to return.
Great Mexican food when you're looking for the more authentic food. Great portions and great value. Their queso is excellent!
Everytime I leave here I feel like I owe them money. The food is 100% authentic and delicious! The portions are very generous. The staff is excellent. The price is unbelievably inexpensive.
Honestly if could give a negative number, I would. My family and I have been coming for 26 years. Not for the other items on the menu, bc candidly they make terrible Mexican food. But their chicken soup is good.Recently during a one week period my family got sick twice when we ordered chicken soup. This resulted in bouts of vomiting and other symptoms of food borne illness.I mentioned this to a "manager". I said look, we are willing to try you out one more time, just please compensate me for the 2 bowls of soup that made my family sick. He said "no" I cant do that. I said we've been coming for 26 years. But you will lose us as customers if we cant work this out. His response: "I guess we're going to lose you then." I asked if Taxco was really willing to lose us as customers for two bowls of chicken soup? That's when the manager hung up.In summary: generally terrible Mexican food, but they have good chicken soup. If something goes wrong, just know that "management" does not care. I would say buyer definitely beware.
1st time. Feels family owned. The staff was busy, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and didn’t take long at all. I ordered the Beef Stew (it came with rice and beans and tortillas). I also ordered a side of Beef Enchilladas. The enchilada sauce was creamy and not real red and smoky like some other places I’ve been. Food was piping hot and tasty. It was definitely worth it. Don’t forget to ask to try the homemade Hotsauce if you like things spicy like me.

The food is good. The problem is they give you a spoon full of rice and a spoon full of beans. I don't understand why they are so stingy with their rice and beans. I've never had that issue at any other Mexican restaurant.
Definitely a smaller place in terms of size but my experience here was amazing! Staff was very friendly and it didn't take too long for food to come out for my group. Really enjoyed the bean dip and arroz con pollo, they were quite tasty. My group also loved the chicken fajitas and chimichangas. Quantity was great and food was a very reasonable price. Would definitely come again.
The food is good but almost always short staffed.Tonight we were at our table for 28 minutes before our server showed up.By then I had lost my appetite and we left.I wouldn't recommend going there at busy times.
Im more of a white cheese dip mexican food type of person but the atmosphere and service here are exceptional. A little pricey but overall excellent quality food as well
