If you like actual Latin food or actual Asian food—or if you like good quality food of any origin—you will not be pleased with this place. “Bowls” were 98% rice with a sprinkling of other ingredients. “Tacos” only come on flour tortillas. Available flavors are pretty much only salty and spicy hot. The food quality was about what I’d expect from a bar in a c-grade resort, between meals when the actual kitchen is closed and they serve reheated leftovers. Or maybe what I’d expect from a sit down restaurant at an amusement park. Anyway, let’s just say this place isn’t staying open due to the quality of its food. Go elsewhere, you have options. Unless you like spicy, salty rice. If you like that this is your spot.
You know when you can’t decide what you want to eat? Or you can’t come to a consensus in the group? Just come here. They got American, Asian, and Mexican covered. Then they mash these cuisines together in ways that work well. For example, empanadas filled with Thai chicken or Asian nachos. The prices are really good for both food and drinks, and the drinks are adorable. Really neat, some menu item’s proceeds go to tsunami relief. You get tacos and good karma points. The location is really good being right off the newer part of the east side beltline. There are now enough restaurants in the area you can do a decent “bar” hop, but like the responsible over age of 30 kind. The patio is nice and great for people watching. In the casual way, not the creeper way.Parking, for now, is easy. Madison Yards has a decent bit of parking and is not tyrannical over who is allowed to use the spaces. As the area becomes more popular, this is likely to change.
1st timer and man it was delicious.... Friendly staff.. (Believe his name was Alex ? long curley hair ??♂️) LoLFood was packed with flavor ? ?
The jalapeno cilantro margarita was excellent. Ordered the korean cauliflower for a starter. Would order it again. Had the tuna poke bowl. It was good. Other reviewers stated to much rice. I find that most poke bowls have a lot of rice, but I still like them! Forgot to take a pic of the poke bowl. Service was excellent!
You can spend your money at something better. I had high hopes going to this place, the menu looks exciting but I don’t know what was happening in the kitchen that day but I ordered “South of the border bowl with steak “ and that was not okay, my spouse some tacos and again, just not good. My bowl was basically a bowl full of unflavorful stick rice with maybe 5 or 4 pieces of extra well done steak a couple of corn kernel and some brown avocados.I’m not even joking, it’s just not good. Just another over priced place because of it’s location that you can add to your “done that, being there, never again”. You can see the pictures and take your own conclusion.
A M A Z I N G experience. The drink gave Mango Sangrita from the first sip ? and the food was superb! *chefs kiss. The bartender Crystal was really nice and really pretty.
The food is good. For the price, I expected a little bit more but I guess this is where inflation hits hard. The server was not so great, but I’m going to attribute it to the fact that maybe he was tired and this was one of many shifts he worked back to back. I don’t care for the margaritas. I’ve had better. I will go back again to try one of their bowls. It’s a nice location and has beltline access.
Great experience and the staff are awesome
Order a noodle salad at $10.50 and there were 4 pieces of steak and mainly noodles. Hardly any veggies. Won’t be going back. Rip off!!!
I tasted the Far East and South of the Border Fusion at Taqueria Tsunami. As their name suggests, they are all about the Latin-Asian Fusion of flavors.
