Went here with a party of 7 for a birthday dinner on a Friday night.Parking is very limited, but there was off-street parking right next to the restaurant.When I entered I was greeted right away and escorted to my groups table. The staff was very nice and accommodating.The women's restroom consisted of two separate bathrooms that looked clean and spacious.Our server was nice and got our orders in quickly. The food came out within a reasonable amount of time (about 15 - 20 mins from ordering).What I drank: Rum punchWhat I ate: Fried green tomatoes and the SH salad with salmon. The salad was lettuce, 4 cucumber slices with half a grape tomato placed on top of each cucumber slice, and some sliced white onion. The salmon was seasoned well, but slightly over cooked.Things to note: the menu here was a little different from what you saw online so don't bother planning what you're going to order before you arrive.A little tacky, but 20% gratuity added to all checks AND only 2 cards can be used to pay for the check. For a party with several people they won't split the bill and only allow 2 cards to pay.For a group, plan to bring cash or Cash App your friend/s that pay.Overall the atmosphere was very nice, the food was ok, the drink was ok. I had a good time but probably won't go back because I was underwhelmed by the food/drink. Four stars because I had a good time, loved the atmosphere and staff.
It was the flavor of the foods for me. Had veggie options for vegans that were hot, fresh, ample serving size, and tasty. That’s really important to me. We went on a weekday and it wasn’t busy so service was fast.
This was definitely a great find! From what we have heard normally it is packed out but we came at the perfect time, it was only a few of us in there. Very clean and great atmosphere. We got a hooka with the suggested flavors of blue mist and pineapple, it was great. The food came out fresh and hot and full of flavor. Definitely would love to see the night life. Drinks were great!
Whew! Where to start? The food was good, once it finally arrived. I ended up ordering an appetizer and a side because they don’t allow substitutions. Service was a bit slow. I had the fried green tomatoes and sweet plantains. My husband had the fried pork griot. The ambiance and live music were the highlights of the evening.
I really wanted to like this place but I experienced more negative than positive. I made a reservation because it was girls night out and we all needed to unwind. Once I got there I was informed that I didn’t have a reservation. So I had to deal with that; they eventually figured it out. We had several appetizers and they were all excellent. I was so excited because I just knew since my appetizers was great my meal was gonna be the same. Well that was not the case. My oxtail was ok, nothing to brag about but what really disappointed me was my to go order, the Lobster and Shrimp Mac. Not sure if they were just having an off night but this was not a great experience for me.
Be on the lookout when you drive by because you might miss it! It was pretty empty when we went in. Tee was very helpful and gave great drink suggestions. I ordered the crab cakes, tropical seafood paradise, sweet plantain, and oxtail. The crab cakes were good but they were more like dumplings. The seafood paradise was amazing. The oxtail was good, but a small portion. My biggest issue was the fact that there was a 20% service charge. Upon asking it was the tip. Mind you, our party was only two people. I'm used to that for larger parties. I was a bit offput by that. I think it wasn't necessary for a party of two.
Amazing food!!! Amazing Staff! Amazing DJ!! Unbelievable experience!!! Just a great night. I can't wait to come back.
A friend and I are in Atlanta for a travel nurse assignment and wanted to check this place out. We will definitely be returning!!! Excellent service and food!!
The Rasta Pasta with chicken, salmon and crab cakes are amongst my faves. Also excellent customer service.
excellent food, portions, drinks and. Service. So glad to have this in the neighborhood. The manager greeted us with such open arms and was so polite and attentive!
