Yowza! Tried the “Cowboy Tenderloin” last night and I got so excited I forgot to take a food envy photo. It was buttery tender but had more depth of flavor with the small bone. A very special treat. Don’t tell my husband - I didn’t share.
As of a couple weeks ago, the shop is a mess. Boxes, picture frames, old forms and office supplies piled against the south wall. Stock appeared depleted.
Misread the hours on Google and showed up after hours. The owner still let me make a purchase and hand-cut the filet and strip (cooking them as we speak). I appreciated the small gesture and I look forward to supporting this neighborhood butcher. Thank you, again.
i'd give it a higher review if the kid behind the counter was wearing a mask.. probably a 4 star.but the goose for sale was $167! that's a bit much... but i've never tried to buy a goose in the US. Duck price was very reasonable and the head butcher gave a lot of tips to prep it properly.
