I have been visiting the area for the last 6 months. It is a local pub, with a fairly pleasant local crowd and regulars. My biggest concern is that the wait staff, at most time, left a lot to be desired. Half the servers, do not pay attention to the tables or they pay attention to limited customers. I don't know, if it is inexperienced servers, lack of training on the management's behalf or just plain lack of concern. I have watched customers enter take a seat, only to wait almost 20 minutes. Not be acknowledged and/or be waited upon. I have seen tables walk out, in my opinion that is missed revenue and negative reviews. Management needs to step up training.
Try to support black businesses so I’m leaving this review so that the owner knows to do better. Bought $60 worth of food wings, burgers and fries to go for my family. We ate a couple of wings and the Wings tasted like they were tossed in old sour butter. Burger was over cooked and the bread was hard. None of my family members finished their food after taken a few bites so I took the food back the next day to get a refund or some retype of compensation. The owner wasn’t there so I had to come back the next day. Came back the next day and the owner refused to accept the fact that the food was subpar and did not not take accountability. No resolution at all. Out of $60 and my family didn’t even eat the food.
Very great food everything was made fresh. My waiter was the bomb and the manager even came by our table to check on us.
This used to be me and my husband go to spot to come to after work when we first started dating. Drinks are great. I see they have made some updates as far as adding new booths, paint , wallpaper and tables.Food wise, Is a big disappointment. No effort at all put into the food. I would compare it to food that you would get from a concession stand at a high school basketball game. The turkeys burger is pretty good. Nachos are a big no no! Wings are decent.
Do not ever attend to this bar.STAY AWAY,! TERRIBLE FOOD AND TERRIBLE SERVICE.The people who work here do not care about how they come across to the paying customer especially at closing time.I had one of the staff that had pink hair tell me to get out and then the cook comes out and ok her behavior.The cook them tells me to just pay the bill and get out.How is this ok, why are people able to disrespect the customers?The cook then said to me that I had to give respect to get respect. This cook did not acknowledge that the lady in pink hair was rude and disrespectful. Instead he wanted to hold my reaction to the lady’s rudeness accountable to me. I should of ok the rudeness of being kicked out.This establishment charge you for takeout.This establishment charge you for bottled drinks because they do not serve fountain drinks.This establishment should not be allowed in business.I would never return, nor would I ever recommend this establishment for food or drinks.I WARN YOU… DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT, YOU WILL REGRET IT…STAY AWAY. Terrible service and terrible food.
TERRIBLE STAFF......I went to this place last night and the service was horrible. One of the waitresses was so rude. She was upset because two young ladies that went with me, to celebrate my birthday, complained about their food. I asked her to come to the table and she proceeded to tell me I was being EXTRA...Yes she said that. One of the managers came out and had to drag her to the back. She was actually approaching me like she was going to hit me! She was actually charging me. We continued to have our drinks and the manager let her come back on the floor to work. Where does that happen....Sandtown Pub!!! We live 5 minutes down the street and I would love to have a weekly spot...This is not the one.
I normally LOVE this place but the lady few times I’ve gotten Amber at the bar. She is sooooo rude. She’s the daughter of the owner so she feels she can do as she pleases. I had an issue today with my food. I called back and spoke with her. Instead of reconciling, she called me crazy and hung up on me. I called back and she did the same thing. NOT RECOMMENDED IF AMBER IS ON THE BAR
Great Atmosphere with good people and customer service definitely checkout the food menu also.
My go to place for good wings, a salad, or some delicious fried shrimp. Worth a visit yall!!!?
Worst bar experience for me. Food was not good (ordered chicken n red velvet waffles), waiter must have been new or his first day, and the atmosphere was just average. I feel bad that I have to give them such a low rating, but it's true. On the flip side, the drinks are great and strong, happened to have a random conversation with the bartender as she walked past our table and she was very nice and knowledgeable. She gave me better customer service than my waiter, and she wasn't even getting paid for it....
