It’s truly baffling and disappointing that this hotel is essentially Delta’s corporate hotel. The lobby is deceptively grand and impressive. The rooms themselves need some serious renovations! The hotel is outdated, has leaking ceilings, and upon closer inspection is just generally rundown with minimal amenities and inconsistent service. We were going to stay here the first time a week ago and had requested early check-in as we had arrived on a red eye. After being told the night before that a room would be available no later than 10, that morning they couldn’t even offer a time estimate. We tried to be patient but ended up switching to another Marriott that actually could provide early check-in. The Renaissance staff didn’t get the notice of our reservation transfer and called us at 2 pm to tell us our room was finally available. You cannot tell me not even a single room was cleaned and available before then. You’d think being an “airport hotel” that serves Delta’s corporate visitors, they’d be more accommodating to travelers at all hours. Now, fast forward to yesterday, when we were coming back through Atlanta for the night… No wait for a room this time since we checked in at 5:30pm — but our room on the ninth floor was a disaster. The decor is incredibly dated — particularly in the bathroom, where you literally have to pull the shower faucet with all your might just to get the water to turn on. I thought I was going to break it!! They provided the bare minimum for towels for two people: 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 wash clothes. (Women with long hair appreciate at least one extra towel to dry their hair.) Worst was this morning when as we were waking up around 6:45am, we thought we heard it raining outside. Oh no, it wasn’t outside — it was IN OUR ROOM!!! Water was leaking from the ceiling all over the desk, getting our jewelry and some of our luggage wet. We were able to contain it with one of the two towels we hadn’t used yet, and then we called the front desk to report it. We specifically told them do NOT send anyone up yet, because we were still waking up and weren’t dressed. But 10 mins later, maintenance comes pounding on the door, interrupting our privacy. As we were packing up to leave we then noticed potential mold in the corner and a potentially larger leak waiting to happen right near the one that already happened. Disgusting. The front desk clerk who checked us out was kind and sympathetic, even offered us a free breakfast. But by that point, we just wanted to get out of there. Needless to say, we’re never staying here again — and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else either.

Nice hotel. The view from the balcony of the airplanes landing and taking off is cool but it also woke me in the morning. It was worth it though. The bed was super comfortable. My biggest issue was the airport shuttle. I was stuck in Atlanta overnight due to delayed flights. I chose the hotel because an airport shuttle was included. They said it runs every 20 minutes. I went down in the morning to catch the shuttle in plenty of time to catch my flight. The front desk clerk said it would be coming in 10 minutes. It did not. After over a half hour a hotel employee encouraged me to get a cab to the airport. Apparently there was only one shuttle driver that day and the he was still at the airport! There were other people who were needing to be dropped off in another area who were waiting with me so at that point I realized I did not have plenty of time. I didn’t want to waste money on a cab so I waited a few more minutes but then sucked it up and caught the cab. Thank God I did. The airport security was jammed and there’s no way I would have made my flight if I had waited for that shuttle.

We needed to spend a night close to the airport in order to catch a flight the following day. I was scared about the negative reviews we read. Some things were true: - hotel is old and run down - not on the sky train. It does have a shuttle but only for domestic flights - Wi-Fi is free only if you join Bonvoy Marriott - booking.com stated that breakfast was included for the 4 of us but the hotel said only 2 people could have free breakfast - breakfast is old fashioned and the only vegan option is fruit. All the rest is EGGS! - room was well cleaned but found a used floss on the floor. Room smells of humidity BUT….. - staff was extra kind and trying to help in every possible way. They are really trying to do their best and it shows. - the aveda amenities are really good - bed is comfortable and shower very powerful - rooms

Renae Williams is AMAZING! My fiancé’ and I reserved a room at this location on my BIRTHDAY! She is pleasant, professional, and gave us EXCELLENT customer service! I had a clean room and breakfast was delicious! I have told more than 10 family and friends about my experience! Thank you Renae Williams for going above and beyond to ensure that I enjoyed my stay!

Visited for lunch on a Wednesday. Good food and views. Service was lackluster. When we arrived, one other table, already had food. Ordered two cocktails. Received first after 15/20 minutes the second 30 minutes after the first. Appetizer and meal came at same time. Another table had eaten and gone well before us-they arrived after us. Manager validated our parking with an expired sticker-Nov2021. Very disappointing experience.

Negatives: Busy weekend and understaffed. Room Phone didnt work. Plumbing did not produce water consistently and made a weird sound and would shoot out black grey at first.Positives: Great staff doing what they can with what they got. I realized I lost an item after checkout and they helped me retrieve it. Location to airport is great. If you choose the airport side of the hotel it can be a little noisy for some.. but we preferred it.Would stay again.

I highly recommend this hotel. During my stay I unfortunately got sick and Mrs. Dominique went above and beyond to take care of me. Her professionalism, kindness, her follow-up, and her attention to detail made my entire stay that much better. If not for Mrs. Dominique I don't know what I would have done, she made my entire experience that much better! Thank you Mrs. Dominique! :))

Older hotel but still in good shape. As an airline geek I found this hotel great. We had a room with a balcony that faced the runways. Perfect spot to watch planes up close. Room was very comfortable and what you would expect from a Marriott or Renaissance.

Arrived at 230am (huge hotel, they had advance notice and 24 hour service, obviously, for an airport hotel.....). In reception there were 7 of us, most with cancelled flights, exhausted trying to check in. There s no one at check in. We politely shouted trying to get some attention, it was like a ghost town. Eventually the guy in front of me, with a family and 2 small children, had to CALL the hotel on is phone, and explain that we were waiting. 30 seconds later, 2 ladies came out of the back room looking like they couldn't believe we had made them get up. There were the scowls, the purposeful extremely slow walk, the monotone one word disgusted responses to everything. It was like we had massively inconvenienced them. It was absolutely disgusting behaviour. The fact that the room was dirty and ludicrously dated is something that is disappointing of course, but what is completely unacceptable is being treated like we are inconveniencing the people who are supposed to be working there. On the off chance that there is an actual manager of this poor place who looks at reviews, as opposed to a marketing dept trying to say the right thing, and to be specific, I arrived at 3am on the morning of Friday the 17th June. I hope that from this information you can identify precisely the two ladies who were supposedly taking care of check in. Their behaviour was a disgrace and I think the worst I've ever seen at a hotel. I'm 48, have travelled all over the world and I give the benefit of the doubt to everyone if I can. So this should not be taken lightly. Kind regards

This hotel may have been nice in its heyday but take my advice and don’t stay here. It’s old and dirty. To start, they messed up our reservation. We arrived at 9:30 pm and tried to order room service but the tv where you order room service was not working. We called down to the front desk and were informed that someone would be up to fix the tv. When nobody came by 10:40, I went downstairs to order food since the restaurant closed at 11. The waitress looked annoyed that I was ordering. The next morning I was awakened by the cleaning person since there are no “do not disturb” signs to put on the door. Went down to the restaurant for lunch and it was so dirty I almost became ill. Tried to order a drink and the staff discussed in front of me for 20 minutes how no one had replaced the items needed for a margarita. Finally the waitress comes back and said they couldn’t make one. I could go on and on about this place, but you get the point. Oh, also if you don’t want to hear airplane noise all day and night, this isn’t the hotel for you. Do better, Marriott.
