Unexpectedly good! The food was very fresh, but not really hot like it should’ve been. Nevertheless, it was very tasty. The sauce for the chicken was really good and the vegetables were very delicious. It was nice that they offered brown rice as one of the sides.
I’ll start off by saying this chicken sandwich is delicious. Unfortunately it being my first time here, very well may be my last. I put an order online and it came out it be $18. $18 for just a chicken sandwich is beyond absurd. When I went to get my food I asked for a side and a drink and they refused to give me it?? Why does it say $9 for just a chicken sandwich, but $12 for the meal which I’ve been overcharged. I’m not sure what went wrong but for this reason I’m not coming back until I get my full order refunded. Thanks for me making pay more for nothing in return!
I think the description of an upscale fast food restaurant is probably accurate. It has the look and feel of a better place, but you step up to the counter and order, fix your own drink and then find a seat for your food to be delivered. Fried food is the star of the show, but you can get things grilled. I tried a hot dog with slaw that was deep fried and it was very good. Also had a couple pieces of chicken and fries. They offer various flavors, and we chose OG, their original flavor on the chicken. Overall, the food was hot and good. Japanese Fusion is how it is presented. Worth a visit.
Ponko Chicken has been a local favorite of mine since they opened the first one in Stone Mountain, GA. My go to is always the spicy chicken with rice and a side of fries. To me the fries are some of the best in Atlanta. This location is clean, fun, and well staffed. Enjoy your chicken!
Rice was sticky, definitely reccomend the og sauce. Green beans reminded me of Japanese take on green bean casserole. Sweet potato fries were excellent. I had one of each tacos, I preferred the bbq and spicy. The vibe was cool and hip, would definitely return
Very tasty! My wife got the OG chicken tacos and I got the hot dog. Amazing!! We will be back!!
I’ve eaten here twice and it’s been amazing both times. The chicken is crispy and tender and just really good. Their fries are cooked and seasoned deliciously; even if you’re not big on fries, like me, try them. Rice is good too. The food isn’t greasy and is high-quality fast food. The sauces are all flavorful and even the pickles are notably good. This location has many good seating choices indoor and outdoor. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy Ponko (and it’s a perfect post rock-climbing meal if you’re coming from Stone Summit).
This place is really good and the way they fry the chicken is awesome very healthy choice of sides and unique flavors keep me coming back for more, tonight I ordered 3 tacos and demolished all but one for this photo lol trust me it was hard the jalapeño cilantro crema with the slaw add a good twist on my spicy fried ? tender tacos
Ponko chicken and chicken tiryaki, they’re both delicious! Sides were salad, potato salad, and coleslawSides can be better, otherwise it was quick
I had driven past Ponko Chicken everyday since they have opened and finally stopped inSo glad I didThe food was great and did not disappoint!Not only was the food on point but the staff was some of the most personable I have encountered recently.They were super helpful and seemed to genuinely care about what they were doing. It was refreshing and I'll definitely be back.
