Customer service is pleasant, but the cake that arrived for my husband’s birthday on today 3/24/22 arrived hard. I ordered a caramel cake. The frosting was literally flaking off hard pieces. I called the store to ask if another can be made because I can’t serve hard cake to my husband on his birthday. I was told that they baked it last night and could only refund my money or bake one for tomorrow, which is not my husband’s birthday. It’s just sad that something I ordered to be fresh for today is not in fact, fresh. I did not get what I ordered. Save your money, buy somewhere else. Guess I’ll just have to grab a quick cake at Publix at this point. Unacceptable.
I have ordering cakes for my person affairs as well as my office parties for 17 years. They’re always ready on time and a super hit at any affair. I love both the cakes and the cupcakes., I’ve never had a single issue even when they’ve been shipped to family members. Beautifully nice people in the store and over the phone. Plus, you get reward points towards a free baked good which I love.
From out of town ordered cupcakes for my daighters birthday to be delivered, havnt shown up and was charged 106.00 for an order i never received, but paid for, now my daughter has no cupcakes for.her bday
To make a long story short - this is a very well run company. They made a mistake and I called them and they fixed it very quickly. Thank you Sal for your outstanding customer service.
Never order a cake from here! I had to pick up for my daughter’s birthday and they didn’t have the courtesy to call me to let me know they would be closed due to weather.
My son ordered a cake for my birthday it was very dry, crumbled when I cut it. I spoke to a manager to make them aware, he said that he can only give me half off. I stated that this wasn’t fair he stated that I had 48 hours to complain and he was very rude. I have ordered cakes from this company since 1990 and this is how they value their long term customers. This will be my last time ordering! I have heard that they have been rude lately but I always defended them, not anymore! I hope that no one will experience the rude service that I received. Thanks,
First time family visit to Piece of Cake and thought it was delicious! We had slices of red velvet with cream cheese frosting and yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Surprised to see some not-positives comments....
Good cake for the most part. Only a few bad points-Cakes seem to dry out quickly-The Buckhead store doesn't always open on time.-The menus on their delivery services don't match. The menu on UberEats is different from the menu on DoorDash and that's different from the menu on Grubhub, which has 2 menus for Piece of Cake. I didn't notice until I recommended them to someone else and the item wasn't available. Embarrassing.Consistency would make things a little better
We ordered a white chocolate cake to take to a Rosh Hashanah celebration with friends and family. Our dinner was fantastic and everyone was looking forward to the desert. It was a beautiful cake and we had heard good things about Piece of Cake. This is truly a case of a business who is resting on its reputation and not putting out a quality product. They will soon learn that reputations follow production. Our cake was dry, and we emailed the bakery the next morning. No reply. They don’t seem to care about their product and they certainly don’t seem to care about their customers. In my case I should say they don’t care about their former customers. Very expensive cake (over $40) for such a disappointing result.
